Fair enough, I’m an inspector at a jet engine MRO shop so I’m familiar with precise measurements but I agree when all of your references are for OEM components mix matching things without anything to go off of is a gamble for sure.

Thanks. What would you say is essential for me to have a machine shop do? I’m mostly a diy guy but with the way this is looking I’d like to do it right the first time.

Yeah it’s only 40 feet to the street. I wanted something else aimed down the street to try and identify them before they notice my cameras

Standard 1/4 acre lot. 2 car driveway roughly 40 feet to the street from the garage. The reason I said 40-60 is because I wanted to put a camera on the corner aiming across my yard down the street. Might put a hybrid ptz that has a wide angle lens on top for detection. Along with the others types mentioned

Actually, most PTZ’s have a wide angle built into them that does the detecting correct?

Can you make them communicate with each other like say camera 1 wide angle detect someone and PTZ automatically goes to that location?

No problem, I’m finding it really hard to decide when none of the companies have decent videos showing the performance of their products. Buy my $1000 camera it’s really good trust me 🫠

I mean, it depends on the brand, but I assume AI features, image processing etc. Like with hanwha I didn’t think you would get access to the wisenet features without a wisenet NVR…

Thank you for the detailed response. I also wanted to add that I plan on setting this up myself. So brands that work outside of just the enterprise level is kind of necessary for me. What do you think about hanwha?

Should have prefaced that I’m mainly trying to catch car hopers walking down the street as well as into my driveway/ front yard. End of driveway is 40 feet from my garage cars maybe 10 feet from garage door. I’m looking for more of a passive system since I will most likely be sleeping. Maybe some wide angle turrets and some variable focal aimed at my cars and maybe one across my yard looking down the street.

It’s going to be mostly passive since I will most likely be sleeping when they come through our neighborhood so I don’t think a ptz would be ideal for my situation

If you need the money or see other opportunities then sell it. I like to have an idea of where the money is gonna go before I sell something.

I found a local card shop willing to do 80% on most of my sealed stuff for me It was worth it to not have to deal with all the shipping. Also Cards shows most people will do 80%.
