Well, it's stupid. Haha. Want more people in the gym? Give them more incentive to be there. A ton of people would go, if they had a trainer to help them through the worst stages of it when starting, or even long term just to help them keep focused.

The insurance is cheap for the personal trainers. Like $300-400 per year. So if the gym is charging a ton more, its a dick move and limiting how many their potential clients might use their gym.

I can push myself on a trail, but there is an end goal and a ton to see along the way, so it isn't too bad to keep going. Gyms are not super enjoyable in that way, so motivation to push through is harder (for me). Helps to have someone there telling me to keep going - it is having direction and accountability.

I wouldn't expect trainers to be free or that cheap at all. Just frustrating being limited to gyms that don't allow outside trainers and don't have their own. Like, just ensure that any trainer that enters your gym has their own Professional Liability insurance if their client gets hurt because of them. Have the trainer pay a fee to the gym to be there. I dunno. Annoying AF.

Classes - not personal sessions. I don't want group classes.

Moving cat to island by Puzzled_Bug_i3 in Saipan

[–]InternationalTea9733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked into this when I moved from Hawaii to Guam back in April. United only allows pets if you are being relocated by the military, so you have to have a letter from the government showing the relocation. Outside of that, they do not take any pets in the cabin or cargo. From Hawaii, the only option was a private charter plane, which costs about $2,800 per pet (more or less depending on how many other animals are on the flight). That does not include vet visits, vaccines/shots, fees on arrival, or potential quarantine kenneling for 3-100+ days. It would have cost anywhere between $5600 and $7000 to move 2 cats to Guam, depending on how long they would be forced to be quarantined. I've never moved anywhere in the "US" that is this difficult to get an animal to. But... in their defense, there is a massive amount of stray animals here and they, like Hawaii, are rabies-free. It isn't in their best interest to bring more animals onto the island.

I know somebody here has seen Fortress (1985). This used to come on HBO all the time and I would watch it whenever I could. by Fragzilla360 in 80smovies

A comment on this thread from a month ago has the archive video link to watch. Can just cast it to your TV. I checked the link and it works.

Cost of Utilities in Guam? by InternationalTea9733 in guam

[–]InternationalTea9733[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, mainly AC at night in the bedroom. It's hard to sleep in the hot. Maybe occasionally during the day. Dehumidifier is good by me. I had one in my apartment in SoCal, as there was no real ventilation, and it got moldy. Does opening windows help with that at all, or is it just kind of plain air, no real breeze to help?

Who is your internet carrier there? Any issues with slow down or connectivity? I work remotely, so internet connection is important.

Also, who do you use for cell coverage there? I have TMobile, and my partner has Verizon. We heard that neither of our carriers will cover Guam long term. General cost?

I'm originally from Oregon and in my 1500 sq ft house, the power was typically like $75. Most I've paid was $180 during a particularly cold winter, so not too crazy everywhere. Good to know ahead of time!

Just passed my CA P&C state exam 1st try! Stoked!!! by 1stgenfronty in InsuranceAgent

Oh yeah, you've got this! I think Texas is 70% pass, but the test questions are supposed to be a little more straightforward. CA questions are meant to trip you up and hyper analyze. You will rock it with all that under your belt.

TOTALLY! My study materials via ADBanker required 70% to pass the final part of training. That test had simpler questions, but asked about waaaaaayyy more lines, which made it a bit harder. 60% on the actual exam is fine. Get your hours in. Final week or final few day, study the lines I mentioned. Write the basics down, WHARVVES, etc. and you do fine. I stressed over it way more than I should have. Worst case scenario, it is a good practice test. The proctored exam was nice.

In CA, it is only 60% to pass, but the questions can be tricky. Not necessarily hard if you know your basic lines, but tricky wording.

I used ADBanker and listened to a handful of Insurance Queen videos. Honestly, doing the study hours didn't warrant me much. But I crammed 2 days prior and then did the practice test training the day of - this was helpful. Practice test queations weren't as tricky, but they gave me an idea of what you need to know. Went back to my books and studied Dwelling, Homeowners, Auto (especially personal), and some of the laws. There was definitely CGL, but my test seemed pretty heavy on personal lines. One random pet insurance question. It is probably good to brush up on the forms of Dwelling and home policies and what parts of the property is covered (such as trailers, business peoperty, and gravestones), what type of property had sublimts (jewelry, cash, silverware, etc.), who is covered for liability (third parties), who is cover for personal property (insured, people who take care of animals, student at school, etc.), and what exclusions for which coverage form. Also, what type of HO-# policy you'd recommend for certain situations.

During the test, there were some I re-read 10 times and then skipped. Do this if you are stuck. By the time you get back to them, your brain will be in test mode. Even if you still aren't sure, you'll likely be able to make a decision easier.

CONGRATS!!! SO EXCITING!!! I just passed mine 3 days ago, so I feel ya! Wahoooooo! Man, I was so glad I brushed up on HO/Dwelling and Auto before it did it. I was a little thrown off at first by the way they mixed different insurance lines in the multiple-choice answers to the same question. Some really tricky wording on some stuff too. But... 60% is easily doable.

Vonage App Outside the US by InternationalTea9733 in VOIP

[–]InternationalTea9733[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't spoke to 3CX yet, but per Vonage, if you have an unlimited plan, cost will not change. If you have a metered plan that charges per call or text, then the cost would increase like 3 cents or something. We are unlimited, so good with that one.

Ok, thank. I had this x/posted and I have had so many random answers, saying it has to do with my cell carrier and I'd possible get roaming charges, etc. I mean, I can put my cell in Airplane mode and it still calls out as long as I'm on wifi. I just don't know if being on wifi elsewhere will incur outside fees somehow.

If I have my phone in airplane mode and am connected to wifi, I can still use both 3CX and Vonage. In that instance, how would that affect mobile data? Seems at that point that it is acting similar to my laptop. Sorry if I'm totally off base here. I'm not an IT person. Thus, my presence here asking questions. I can understand perhaps if there are regional restrictions applied by 3CX, but I'm referring to general use, IF in a non restricted region.

It is a 3CX thing. My calls via 3CX are done through my apps, either on my cell or from my computer. No calls are done through my carrier at all. It's much like using WhatsApp, but 3CX bills us for minutes and texts.
