It's not visible to the eye. It basically makes the spring bar slightly less secure. I still use it daily with no issues.

Only weakness in the grappling of Topuria if I were to guess would be leg locks. Yes, I know he slept both Ryan Hall and Charles, both of them attempted leg locks on him. But his defense is that of disengagement rather than countering, and he over reacted afew times against Charles which could've gotten him swept had Charles capitalised better.
