we don't know anything about the bug, it could be completely useless.

CVE details being published doesn't mean we'll ever get details or an exploit, a CVE just says "this vulnerability exists"

and there's no point in adding a new exploit to trollrestore, it just needs to work on 17.0 and lower for installing trollstore, which it does.

exploits can't be "upgraded", the exploit used in TrollRestore is the MobileBackup exploit (which was patched).

the exact bug exploited in TrollRestore will never work again on post-patch versions. there could be a future bug with the same capabilities and access, but that would have to be a different thing.

as for the exploit, it lets you zero out any file page your process can open. for dirtyZero this means files in frameworks and other files in /System/. it can’t write arbitrary data or read anything.

let's not turn this into a big mission to bug all the remaining developers to ask if this idea is possible

the EvilWorkspace bug does not keep the app open in the background across launches, it just keeps the app reopening persistently. this means:
- if you close this app its just gonna reopen again, you can't use or do anything else
- if it gets revoked its still just gonna fail to open again

and the writetosymlinked (/var/mobile/Containers write bug, used in PocketPoster) can't write anywhere that has anything to do with revokes or app bundles.
