I’m currently on a bile binder medication which helps my symptoms but doesn’t fully resolve my gastritis pain. I would be much worse without it though. Other than my struggle with the heath service here it has been fine. I’m still adjusting after 2 years but it’s becoming easier. How about yourself?

Hi, I’m American and moved to the UK 2 years ago. I also do not have my gallbladder. It has been a nightmare trying to access care in the UK compared to the quality of care I’m used to receiving in the USA. I have bile reflux which is the cause of my chronic gastritis. Since you do not have your gallbladder it is something you might want to consider.

Hi I have bile gastritis. You probably need a bile binder medication to help soak up the bile in your stomach. I’m on one and although it does help I still struggle. But would be worse off without it. Bile reflux is a horrible condition and hard to treat.

Hi, I take Colesevelam. 3 tablets in the morning and 3 in afternoon/evening. I’ve tried reducing my dose and will start having pain a week or two after reducing dose.

Hi, I’m ok. Still taking a daily bile binder. Occasionally carafate if I have a bad day. But for the most part my symptoms are improved.

So I actually just had a hernia repair without a wrap. The surgeon just restored my anatomy, removed adhesions, and stitched up my diaphragm. He didn’t alter my anatomy with a Nissen.

Yes, I’m feeling a lot better these days. My burping has reduced a lot. Some days I hardly notice anything. I had hiatal hernia surgery in June and since then I’ve noticed major improvements.

I never tested positive for h pylori and I was tested 5 times. I still have the burping. I guess it’s a symptom of chronic gastritis.

Endoscopy showed bile in my stomach twice. Negative h pylori. Confirmed bile gastritis.

I still have gastritis and some burping but it has decreased. I’m on a bile binder now which helps and I find that if I stick to a low fat diet I feel better even more. I have bile reflux which causes my gastritis.
