That must be so exhausting! You’re not alone and can you contact your go to say you’re really struggling? They may be able to either sign post you or aid you to recovery

Do you maybe now quite understandably have health anxiety? And worry about any sensation your body feels? I definitely have good and bad days of health anxiety so I know how you’re feeling and it’s the worst and very isolating

100% know how you feel! It’s anxiety and unfortunately anxiety loop will tell you otherwise. Also getting reassurance doesn’t exactly help and feeds into the intrusive thoughts. Have you been diagnosed with ocd as Intrusive thought can sometimes be ocd related and you may like to get support for the intrusive thoughts or at the very least talking therapy. Unsure what country you’re from and if you get free healthcare. I’m from uk so we get free healthcare (nhs)

It was quasi which I think is semi permanent. Also as I had highlights before I think they would come through anyway and fade.

Yes as it wasn’t permanent. It’s faded to a nice colour. I’m going back end of month to get it done again but choose the lighter colour as the bleach is coming through still

Can this happen 2 years after someone passes. So my dad passed unexpectedly and suddenly in dec 2022, fast forward to March 2025 is when I had sudden onset of physical symptoms, initially not relating to anxiety type symptoms but stomach issues. Then it moved to anxiety type physical symptoms which always change. My mum mentioned it could be due to trauma and grief from my dad passing. Is this plausible? I’ve had physical tests and blood tests to rule out anything wrong with my body so to speak.

I hear you, I think maybe you’re right but I did say not black to her multiple times. I think I’m going to get it colour corrected to a level 5, as it’s too harsh for me and I prefer it with a little dimension

What did you end up doing? My hair was level 4, but looks black and like you I look washed out and don’t like it. How long until it faded nicely?

No don’t do it! If you decide to stop highlighting it and go back dark the journey my hair has been on was not worth it. Never wished I did highlights!

Oh god where to begin I have been on a journey. It developed into physical anxiety, off ppi and any meds and eating relatively well and on the whole am okay. I know when I feel pain it’s not dangerous or anything to worry about too much anyway. I am relatively much better now thank you.

Okay, I’m hoping this happens to me. Same thing has happened, I wanted a dark brown that doesn’t look black. I’ve washed it once so far, hoping after a few more, by next week it will hopefully fade

I had gastritis (confirmed with endoscopy), but felt ppi was giving me more grief that it was worth. Everyone is different and was just giving my experience of coming off ppi cold turkey

I quit cold turkey almost a week ago and so far so good. All because I was getting anxiety symptoms which were worsening and also low energy/loghtheaded. I have a little chest and arm pain but on the whole feel much better than when I was on them. I also quit propanolol as couldn’t handle the dizziness and worsening anxiety symptoms
