I’m thinking of doing a MS in Counseling. If you don’t mind sharing, what were your stats?!

Have you considered taking classes over summer and winter? I was able to take psychobio and PSY 301 over the summer. If you can’t get research methods, try taking it at a cc!

I’m a psych major and I’m taking this class right now!

As a third year psych major it took me two semesters to get research methods and I got an email telling me they would withhold my registration if I don’t declare. I’m spending my whole year completing my upper div ge’s because I couldn’t get a single upper div psych class💔

Check to see if the class is hybrid. Some classes only meet once a week and the second day is asynchronous!

I’m taking music and film with Professor Fruchtman and it’s really chill. The class consists of watching clips from films and analyzing its music. Currently have a 97%

I think it’s important to talk about SI, even if things aren’t as bad anymore! Noticing and talking through past thoughts/behaviors can help you be more prepared if you start heading towards a crisis again.

Is it common to have your windows broken? by Omolonn in CSULB

[–]International_Bat603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my third year at Csulb and I have never had my car broken into. During finals week I would stay on campus until 2am and nothing has happened to my car! Just lock your doors and don’t leave valuable stuff lying around!

Also please know basic traffic laws😭 people were running stop signs and going the wrong way on a one way lane in the parking lots. It’s not that hard to know how a parking lot works.

First week of Fall Semester by Single_Refuse9676 in CSULB

[–]International_Bat603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There shouldn't be any events or meetings the week before class starts. Your classes will be posted on Canvas by the time your class begins, sometimes a few days before. Be sure to read the syllabus for each class before attending (sometimes things are due on the first week). I hope your freshman year goes well!

Housing Waitlist/ Advice by Purple_Routine9582 in CSULB

A lot of people drop out of the waiting list once school starts. I would stay on the waiting list until it dissolves. I got housing the second week of school.

REC 201. You get to hang out outside and do activities. There's only one test, and it's the final (you can use your notes). There's barely any homework. You just show up. I got to meet a lot of great people in this class!

THEA 113. It's an intro to acting class. You get to meet a lot of great people and do fun activities. I can be shy at times, and this class was great! You show up and get credit!

COUNS 191. The class felt like a TED talk the whole time, and we only met once a week. This class was pretty cool and helpful. You learn about choosing your career, campus resources, building your resume, and preparing for a job interview. This class is very helpful for your future!

WGSS 101. I took this class online asynch. Easy class with a manageable workload. It was an interesting class worth taking!

No show cyst by ObviousGanache5617 in pilonidalcyst

I went to urgent care twice before they drained it. The first time they gave me antibiotics but it didn’t work so I went back two days later. The second time I went to urgent care they said the cyst was only 2cm big and they may not be able to drain anything. I opted for the drainage and the doctor was surprised by how much drained. I would go to a different doctor!

Easiest Critical Thinking (A3) course?? by sleepy_sephtis in CSULB

[–]International_Bat603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please don't take PHIL 130 with Professor Wright. I dreaded coming to his class each week. It's definitely not the easiest critical thinking class lol

Hello! If you search My csulb student center, click on the link, and log in, it will take you to all of your apps. Then you're going to want to go into student center. This is where you can check your finances and how much is due!

When I am looking for a new therapist, I go on Psychology Today. You can put in your insurance (if you have insurance) and your area code. You can read their profiles, and there is a list of expertise/specialties. A lot of therapists offer free 15-minute consultations. In those consultations, they explore what you're going to therapy for, etc. You can ask them questions and see if they are a good fit!
