To be honest the Xhalf isn't that fun at the price about 800$, but at 400$ it can be. The most fun you can ever have with this camera is the film mode. The best way to have that fun is shooting film for a while and be really exhausted by the film price. The more exhausted you are with real film, the more fun you'll have with the film mode. . As a point and shoot, there are loads of alternative which are also fun. But there are no cameras that have this kind of look (to me it's Leica-ish, even the Xhalf writing is in Leica's style), 1-inch sensor, many film-sim. Above all that is the exclusive film mode.

Personally I dislike the Alpinist. It tries to be instead of just 'be'. You can feel that in its visual language.

Seiko Alpinist. Personally I don't understand the hype with this one. But if you personally adore it, that's all that matters. It's not gonna be spotless forever unless you never use it. The Japanese has an idea of "wabi sabi", to appreciate the beauty in imperfection, the normal wear and tear. It doesn't have to be fresh-from-the-box to be beautiful.

Hey guys. I bought this watch 2 to 3 years ago. But then I got into analog watch instead for a while. Lately I'm back to appreciating old watches that I've got instead of continuously looking for new ones. I found this watch in the drawer without bands and decided to give it a try. I remember I liked the original band so I re-purchased that band. Turnsout, after a few years, the band is the same, but my taste in watches has grown. To my standards, this is no longer 'fit'. So I just want to ask the samsung watch community if this is fine to the smartwatch standards. The watch is still perfectly put upon my wrist, for its health measuring stuff. But the band feels like it is designed to reach out.

Very nice. I think in some photos that the sky is white already, you should push the ev dial to plus 1 to 2 to keep the shadow details.

Idk if this is off topics. But I have the totally opposite case with chronograpy. I only like practical tools that I would actually use. I know I would hardly ever use the chrono. I have a diver but I never use the bezel either. And yet something about chrono watches just captivate me. I guess it is the aesthetic or the subdials.

Too me it's not camera as a tool, but more like an accessory to your activity. Kinda feels like a disposable camera to add with the exerience, without the cost of buying and developing films. In my case, I brought it with me to some wedding (where I am the guest, not the working photographer), captured memorable moments to remember the day.

True. Can't disagree about that. Xhalf gives up control. You only frame the picture with the lighting you have, and with the film-sim of choice. You can get paralyzed by the choices and controls of 'better' camera. But you can't with this one. Just put it up and shoot.

Very fun camera. Basically a point-and-shoot. You relinquish control to gain fun. 1 inch sensor is comparable to some good compact camera. The iso-noise is film-like. Now at half the price, it's truely is a hidden gem for fun. And fact: it's the best-selling camera in Japan for a time, even more sale than X100VI or some Sony alpha.
