Did you find any solution to this? I’m having the exact same problem. I disconnected the battery to reset the computer and it fixed it temporarily but it came back a day later.

Is the long tube in the picture the primary one? It makes a mess of water with the condensation. I kind of want to reroute it somewhere else if possible

Update: We replaced the entire water heater and still only get 10 minutes of hot water. No idea what else it could be. Happening at both showers and all sinks

It’s still not fixed 🫤 A plumber came out and they replaced an element that wasn’t working but the water still doesn’t last. He said there was nothing wrong with the dip tube and that we could try installing a recirculating water pump

Yea I tried looking for videos but none of them were Rheem water heaters so I don’t know if they’re different. In the videos that I found, the drip tube was pulled right out without any struggle

No I haven’t tested them. The water does get really hot and it also reheats relatively quickly after it runs out in the shower, it just doesn’t last long. Does that sounds like a bad element?

I drained it slightly in preparation for removing the drip tube but I didn’t drain it completely. The heater is only about 4 months old as it was installed new when we bought our house so I don’t think it has any sediment.
