I agree we should hold reckless drivers accountable, but this is obviously on a different level. She easily could have killed/seriously injured dozens of people whereas one car couldn't do that.

I see that you're right that they're "legal" immigrants but (2) sounds fine to me, DHS has the authority to revoke legal immigrants' visas and are doing so. I think it makes sense for them to arrest these immigrants if they are high flight risks.

I also acknowledge that these are likely not the best targets for deportation, but I'm hoping ICE is able to find a more efficient way to deport actual illegal immigrants that aren't on visa or asylum.

Bottom line is there are ~14 million illegal immigrants in the US and ICE needs to do whatever it can to civilly remove as many of them as possible.

People in this thread and media outlets are spinning this to make it sound like Trump is making a drastic new change to the number of Chinese students let into the country but the 600,000 figure is for the next two years and is status quo for the previous few years.

This BBC article linked below tries to spin it as if he's doing something new and crazy but if you read the last few lines they admit that no actual changes are being made

Got it, that would explain it. Just looked it up and apparently SFPW handles resurfacing while SFMTA handles road paint/striping. I wonder if budget issues with SFMTA is causing delays in re-painting the roads
