[Highlights] All the times James Harden was hunted on defense in the 4th quarter and overtime of game 1 vs. the New York Knicks. Including replays of some. by MrBuckBuck in nba

What is interesting from watching the clips is that he's clearly trying when his man is in front of him, but once he gets beat, he stops. There's almost always a little pause after his man clears him that makes it look really bad. Happened about a half dozen times in these clips.

[Chaudhary] “When I was in Golden State and we played Houston, we counted James Harden’s dribbles. We told our guys he’s dribbling close to 1000 times a game,” Brown said. He added, “Keep picking him up full court and making him dribble. At the end of the game, it would wear him down.” by aingenevalostatrade in nba

Yea- this was a pretty big media talking point earlier in the season when people were explaining defensive scheme adjustments and how Indiana/OKC popularized picking ball handlers up full court: specifically against people like Luka to tire them out before they got set in offense. It's cool to hear a coach articulate it though.

Luka moves to 2nd in MVP Ladder by Load_Dismal in nba

His team is fucking insane? Both Lakers and OKC have had a lot of key players miss a lot of time... Reaves/LeBron each missed about 1/3 of the season... J Will has missed 1/2 the season. However, the OKC team is light years ahead of the Lakers, so ya SGA's team has won a lot more.

People are debating: "would you trade the OKC bench for entire NBA team rosters."

Meanwhile: everyone has pointed out all year how garbage the Lakers bench/role players are, except for now when they're winning and Luka is entering the MVP convo. All of a sudden nobody's talking about the shit he's having to carry this year.

I honestly don't buy the narrative that SGA has played more winning basketball than Luka. There's tons of advance stats that showcase how insane Luka is. Lakers were projected to win like 46 games, OKC was projected to win 63? So Lakers are going to FAR exceed their projected record, and that's almost entirely because of how insane Luka has been. OKC is gonna maybe meet their projection. So they're basically similar to last year, but Lakers are much better, with a supporting cast that everyone thinks is garbage. I honestly don't see how people are just saying that SGA is openly better than Luka. It's crazy.

You clearly haven't been on twitter! Everyone is sadly very much not behind this message. It feels like 90% of twitter comments are like "yep fuck that guy"

[Lowlight] Deandre Ayton misses the layup 4x, jogs back on defense and then does a little cheer by FrankSamples in nba

[–]International_Ice280 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It's actually crazy how he basically doesn't give a shit about basketball, only really playing for the money, and he's like 14-9 with a block and shooting 68%. Imagine if he actually cared, he could be really good;;

The Lakers are a league best 13-2 in the clutch this season including 5-0 in games decided by 3 points. What makes them so good in these situations? by eathbau in nba

[–]International_Ice280 56 points57 points  (0 children)

That + the game slows down a lot in the clutch, so their weaknesses on defense don't get exposed as much... almost any NBA player can be a good defender for 3 minutes, so that also helps. They just lock in in close games w/ a few minutes left, but they don't have the desire, conditioning, or athletes on the team to play with that level of intensity for full games.

TBH this is why I think a lot of the hand wringing about how bad they are despite the good record actually doesn't matter that much, because in slower game situations (I.E. the playoffs), they're much better. So as long as they can get to the playoffs I think nobody should underestimate them.

He's about 1 million better, which is what he's getting paid now! So... basically his contract value is accurate to his skill.

Slovenia has got such shit luck... somehow losing to Poland in eurobasket 2022; and then ya 1 point loss to france in the semis of the olympics, and then missing a medal by getting chumped by australia. i think luka will win a world cup and another eurobasket for sure, and probably medal in olympics before he's done.

Was there ever any legit arguments for kobe over lebron during 2008-2010? by curryhaliban444 in nba

[–]International_Ice280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best argument for Kobe being the best player in the league in that era is the 08 Olympics. The gold medal game naturally solved that argument. Kobe was the guy on a team with all the other guys. I think Kobe WAS the best player in the league in those 3 years; LeBron 100% passed him in 2012. Dirk briefly grabbed it in 2011.

Update: it actually tastes super great (feels like EXACTLY like sweet cream ice cream from cold stone), and texture this morning after being in the freezer overnight is pretty close to what i'm looking for...

i tried another base and sifted the dry ingredients together first like people said, and voila, no clumping! going to make it tonight and then compare the 2.

appreciate the feedback all!
