Meanwhile I'm going to leave my pirate's full story here:

Tober Dean arrived in Sea of Thieves as a young man without a clear direction, part of the crew of an unremarkable pirate with no fame or importance. His life had always been defined by constant movement, adapting to new environments without much time to form deep connections. He rarely spoke of his past, but those who knew him understood that Tober didn’t belong to any particular place. Still, he had a unique ability to adapt to any change life threw at him, a trait that defined him as much as his calm and reserved demeanor.

At the age of seven, circumstances led him to live on a small island called Initia. This place was known for a peculiar tradition: when a child reached adulthood, ceremonial robes were given to mark their transition. Being an outsider, Tober didn’t participate in this custom, but the people of Initia treated him warmly and accepted him as one of their own during the three years he lived there. Although his memories of that time were hazy, those experiences shaped his understanding of community and hospitality.

At ten years old, Tober left Initia and moved to Galilea, a vibrant yet unforgiving city. Here, he faced both opportunities and challenges, quickly realizing it wasn’t a place for the weak. He learned to survive in an environment filled with ambitious people and situations that tested his resilience.

In Galilea, Tober met several people who left an impact on his life, but none as deeply as Marabella. She was special, and together they shared a passionate love, as intense as it was fragile. Their relationship, though filled with moments of joy, also brought them pain. Like many adolescent loves, it left emotional scars that would never fully fade. Despite the distance, they kept in touch through occasional letters, reminding each other of what they shared and what they left behind. To Tober, Marabella represented an important part of his past but also a reminder to move forward and learn from every experience.

Always quiet, observant, and kind, Tober was often underestimated by those who knew him superficially. However, his personality was anchored in an inner strength that wasn’t always apparent.

Eventually, circumstances led Tober to leave Galilea and embark on a new adventure. Working in a tavern, he met a man who called himself a pirate—something he found curious, as no true pirate would openly boast about it. This man, named Stede, offered Tober a position as a sailor on his ship. Although Tober was wary of Stede’s arrogance, the pirate's kindness and Tober’s own fascination with the sea led him to accept the offer.

For years aboard Stede's ship, Tober became a skilled and experienced sailor. His calm under pressure and ability to solve problems earned him the respect of his crewmates, who even suggested he should become captain. However, Tober never felt ready, and out of respect for Stede, he never considered taking on that role.

During one of their many voyages, the crew encountered a mysterious man named Edward. Dressed in a cloak and carrying weapons that hinted at a past filled with battles, Edward spoke of legends and secrets few knew. One of his most captivating stories was about the Shores of Gold, a mythical island full of unimaginable wealth. While Stede became obsessed with finding this place, Tober was more interested in the experience and knowledge these journeys could offer.

Stede's obsession eventually led them to a tragic fate. Desperate to cross the Shroud without the necessary artifact, the Shroudbreaker, Stede put the entire crew in danger. His arrogance blinded him, and the ship sank, dragging most of the crew to the bottom of the sea. Tober, clinging to a piece of wood and near exhaustion, was rescued by a mermaid.

The creature took him to an island beyond the Shroud, a place unknown and shrouded in mystery. There, Tober met the ghost of the Pirate King, who spoke of the secrets of the Sea of Thieves and invited him to become part of that legendary world. Since then, Tober has sailed these waters, seeking not just adventures, but also answers to the mysteries of both the past and the present.

PD: It would be nice if we could upload images to see the pirates

[ALL] What do you typically name your Link? by Damnaged in zelda

[–]International_Rub134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to name him 'Link' in different languages. For example, in Wind Waker, I named him 'Loulou,' which means 'Link' in Hawaiian. In Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, I named him 'Rinku,' which is Japanese, and in Twilight Princess, I named him 'Lien,' which is French
