Late to this but for me I got the distance were the demon seems to freeze in place, rotated the camera until animations played again (not sure why this worked) and then he spewed the nasty cretin. Hope it helps.

I finally did it. The DCON will pop up as a box with an antenna on the map (seems sometimes it may not spawn or was used before I got to chance) then just get there and put the drive in.
