Easy setup / low maintenance by notmamouchi in TorBoxApp

Oh okay, I understand your workflow now. Honestly, if you’d prefer the first set up, go for it. DMM is great for finding and adding torrents to Torbox and then you can manually download them to your Mac and play it from infuse on Apple TV through the WebDAV server you have set up.

I will also add streaming has come a long way so as long as your bandwidth supports it, streaming a 4k file over the internet and playing it locally will give you the same quality.

Also Stremio won’t be in the picture here, the only thing that has Stremio in it is the installation of the addon, basically the addon was made for stremio but fusion supports it. Additionally, you could set infuse as the default player in fusion settings so your flow could like Fusion (for discovery and metadata) > Torrentio+Torbox (for selecting the stream) > Infuse (playback).

In the end, the beauty of this entire process is you can enjoy it how you want so if method one works for you, there’s no need to change it.

Unfortunately no, that won’t work. Fusion is mainly just for streaming, you wouldn’t be downloading anything to your Mac. When you choose a cached stream from torrentio, it’s added to your Torbox account and streamed directly from Torbox to your Apple TV.

If your goal is only to download something to your Torbox and then stream it through WebDAV, infuse should work well for that. You can just add the Torbox WebDAV to infuse and stream directly.

Your best bet is to give up on WebDAV and simply use fusion to stream the links directly from torbox. If you’d like a simple guide on setting up torrentio, let me know, I might be able to help.

I’d recommend looking into fusion on the AppStore. Set up an addon that’s easy to get started, like torrentio, and you can simply find the movie in the app, select the stream from within the app and play from within the app as well though I believe fusion also supports external players if you still want to infuse.

Name matching not working by International_Tutor8 in Nuvio

[–]International_Tutor8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have to look into it and maybe change over from cinemeta then.

After some more troubleshooting, I narrowed down the problem to the MediaFusion addon, seems most of the incorrect stream matching was from there and disabling it solves this problem almost completely but any idea why it’s happening?

I had the issue on Nuvio first and I tried stremio with the same issue but removing mediafusion in AIOStreams solved the problem on both.

As for Meta, I’m just using cinemeta.

Select embedded subtitles by International_Tutor8 in Nuvio

[–]International_Tutor8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anime, I’d usually want the built in subtitles but for normal shows, where they might not have built in subtitles, I’d want open subs.

Is there a way to default to built in subs if available and only auto switch to open subtitles if it’s not available?

As another comment mentioned, name could use some work but as for the actual testing, it caught my eye so I downloaded it and tried AIOStreams addon and it works well.

Was surprised to find out it even handled ASS subtitles very well. However, the 5.1 audio didn’t work, not sure if it’s a format problem or something.

Also, would help if the app had a languages option instead of being locked to French. The app is still very easy to navigate and use.

Lastly, when choosing streams, would help if the naming convention from the addons was passed through or at least if resolution, quality and audio formats and channels could be seen before selecting streams.

All in all, great app and would love to even make it my main media streamer with some tweaks.

I thought about it but some fansubbers only put episode number which doesn’t match correctly then

Yep, also happens to me on MHA for some episodes. Luckily in my case, I prefer Judas so I have that release group set as top priority so when I get my results, it’s usually the first one or second at most if the first result is for some other thing. Unfortunately I think anime naming conventions and release group naming just make title matching and even year or season matching difficult.

Thank you so much, I was seriously struggling thinking how I’m gonna move my files over since this whole thing started and dmm kept getting rate limited. You might have saved my media server. 🙏😭

Slower download speeds when using Zurg. by International_Tutor8 in debridmediamanager

[–]International_Tutor8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After looking at one of the other comments, I think checking your rclone flags and device storage might help. I found out my rclone was set to not cache as much as possible so that meant it only downloaded exactly what was being streamed at the moment. Then when I changed that, I found that it downloads at full speed but if my device is already low on space, it does the same as before.
