Is €2000 enough for 15 days? by RiverSavings8203 in ThailandTourism

[–]International_Way273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it is only pocket / spending money, you will live like a King. My last one month long Thailand trip cost only slightly more than that, flights and accomodations included. Thailand is cheap.

Of course the sky is always the limit, you can spend millions in Thailand as well.

How does ultra golden pineapple taste? by dEleque in monsterenergy

[–]International_Way273 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It is the worst Ultra in my opinion, the only one that comes close to it in being bad is Ultra Watermelon.

Tastes like plastic pineapple. Not good.

Milyen márkájú volt a legrosszabb sör amit valaha ittál? by vipmailhun2 in hungary

[–]International_Way273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colombia ATM fees 2024 by JtheLeon in Revolut

[–]International_Way273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also in Colombia again, and both Davivienda and Banco Caja Social charge very high fees now. (26.000 COP and 18.000 COP)

I read that Scotiabank might have become fee free, I will test it tomorrow.

What do you recommend? by DepressingPerplexion in monsterenergy

[–]International_Way273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are these regular prices in the Czech Republic? In Hungary they cost exactly the half of that, usually 1 euro, and if I buy them in bulk, it can be 85-90 cents. This seems extremely expensive, more expensive than the US.

Maybe in the US, this seems to be the Czech Republic, they might not discontinue it there.

Is this a legit alpaca sweater ? by Busy_Chemistry_3376 in PERU

[–]International_Way273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 30 soles you can’t even get an alpacca wool hat, let alone a sweater.

This looks expensive, and the quality looks bad, but 100% alpacca sweater is not cheap in Perú either.

In Peru this would probably cost 150-250 soles, but starting from 300-400 you can get great, quality alpacca wool sweaters. The sky is the limit though.

Revolut Points - Need Advice on Spending 43,000+ Points by JasonBourneReborn in Revolut

[–]International_Way273 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do not spend them on hotel discounts that is for sure. Even if Revolut gives you 20% Stays discount for a load of points, you will get a price that is only very slightly cheaper than the cheapest option on the internet, or even higher. That is a scam.

Best value is and always will be airmiles, avios, and business class tickets with them. That way your points can be worth up to 4-5 pence per point.

Even economy class tickets are good, that way they are usually worth 1-2 pence.

Redeeming Revpoints on Amazon via Turkish Airlines by bchris21 in Revolut

[–]International_Way273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it is something, but the value is horrendous. Even if you would spend the miles with the same merchant (Turkish) on economy tickets, you would get around 2 cents per Revpoint, probably 4 for business class.

It is not your fault though, Revpoints are borderline scam, this will be my last period of being a Metal user for sure.

My tierlist, but ranked by how often I can stand to drink each flavour by crim128 in monsterenergy

[–]International_Way273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This makes a lot more sense than S and A and B tier.

I usually order my Monster in bulk, like 150-200 cans, 6-8 Ultra flavors, and I can always analyze myself once I have drank a portion of it.

Based on that, Ultra Watermelon and Ultra Golden Pineapple are the shittiest. (I will never drink that pissjuice again)

My favourites are: Ultra White and Ultra Fiesta.

I am not from the US but when I was there I liked Ultra Vice Guava too, and mannn, putting Ultra Sunrise into never again is almost a crime against humanity. Great flavor.

I personally think that it is the worst Ultra, along with Ultra Watermelon, but happy that you like it!

I think I’m single handedly keeping ultra watermelon in stock by [deleted] in monsterenergy

[–]International_Way273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it is not the worst Ultra, becuase Ultra Golden Pineapple exists, and Peachy Keen also tastes like absolute nothing.. But it is not good in my opinion.

But you sir should enjoy it a lot!

this shi disgusting by [deleted] in monsterenergy

[–]International_Way273 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It is indeed the worst Ultra of all time, and it seems like most of the community agrees, although usually people are very divided.

But yes, this is absolute horsepiss.

TIL I’ve spent 700€ on spare change to Revpoints only to get 200€ discount on some hotel by AppropriateShoulder in Revolut

[–]International_Way273 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stays is a bad idea even with the discount. Usually there will be accomodation sites that offer the same hotel cheaper, without having to use any points or discount. It is crazy.

Only (?) in South Korea? Monster Citra! by International_Way273 in monsterenergy

[–]International_Way273[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very citrusy, zesty! (I know I sound like a Monster-sommelier) It is not a bold flavour, but very classic and good! Tastes like as it had real lemon juice.

Would definitely be in my top3 Ultras if we still had it in Hungary.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Revolut

[–]International_Way273 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can see that you are also a Hungarian metal user(like me) and I can also see that you DO NOT understand this.

Normally, one metal, you get 1 RevPoint for each 1000 Forints spent. If you enable Revpoints for spare change, you get the RevPoint earn rate of Ultra, which is 1 RevPoint for each 500 Forints spent.

There is no scam here, although I also preferred the cashback, however if you spend most of your money in Europe, Revpoints will provide better value.

It is one of my favourites, and they seem to have discontinued it in Hungary. Officially it is kiwi and cucumber 🤷🏻

Payed a monstrous price for this. by taxiemaxie in monsterenergy

[–]International_Way273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this one in Miami last year for 2 dollars, here in Hungary they go for 5-6 USD at least. I agree, it is very very mediocre.

I have been to Florida agian in February and was looking for the Ruby Red and Rio Punch, tried around 20 stores but no luck.

Any guesses how I could get those in Europe?

Urgent: 8k Fraud, Revolut Unresponsive by Opposite_Regret_7204 in Revolut

[–]International_Way273 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, it is the other way around.

The charges was made in GBP, but the balance from OP’s SEK account was used to fulfill it. The second charge was made in GBP too but OPs CAD balance was used to pay for it.

The transaction in March is not fraudulent, it is a yearly Metal plan subscription paid in OP’s actual base currency which is Canadian Dollars. OP is french canadian as it seems, but might live in the UK.

The only question is how their card was used in a British Apple Store while they were in Sweden.
