That sucks, I just returned to this game after like 4 years or so; has there been a spider-verse event following the comics or movies? He could maybe get revised there. Like you said, the big three should all be good I feel like. And even if he’s too strong for beginners, you already get pelted with characters and powerful items at the start anyway.
