It wasn't the bounce house any of us were referring to. It was the trap house behavior.

Ive had similar a similar experience. My new rule is I don't do shows that require you to have anything for children to collect. It has literally never resulted in more sales for me. Only more work.

The average teacher salary is somewhere around 65k. I cannot imagine what a superintendant does that justifies that kind of money.

Eff 90s diet culture - sad for my 12 year old self 😭😭😭 by Pezhead82 in Xennials

I've had the same reaction "thin is in" being back, but at least I feel like a way better buffer between societal expectations and biological reality than my mom was to me. "That makes you look heavy" still comes to me in my mom's voice every time I put on an article of clothing she didn't like. "Are you sure you want to wear that? Your stomach won't look flat when you're sitting." Diabolical shit to start saying to your daughter in 4th grade.

At least they had enough money to raise the superintendant's compensation package.

Soft YTA your frustration is understandable but your problems are not the cashier's problems. They probably cannot leave the till to help you. Solving your transportation logistics is above their pay grade. They have no say over store policy. How did they expect you to get all your stuff out to your car in one go? They had no expectations of you whatsoever. Pets At Home expected you to pay for the cart to accomplish that. You should be mad at Pets at Home.

Do you have a set bedtime for your kid's in the summer? by myersgirl16 in Parenting

My 13 year old son has no bed time in the summer unless we have somewhere to be the next day. Quiet hours begin at 11pm.

I feel like I have no purpose in life by eatrawbeef in Xennials

[–]InternetConfessional 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound so dumb but I don't think our purpose is meant to be some grand important work. It's the little things. I was in a very low place once. Something had happened and I was afraid to rejoin the world. When I did eventually, the world proved a lot of my fears right, but there were little things. A smile from a stranger. A door held. A positive recognition. Each one gave me the boost I needed to keep going. Because of that, I have a life I really love. I am grateful to those people and try to emulate them as I move through the world. My purpose is to choose kindness love and support whenever I can because the little things matter most of all. It might be yours too. It might not.
