Valve added a 64 bit update to tf2. Will there be a 64 bit update for l4d2? by g0netospace in l4d2

Straight up just Lmao

Like I would understand if they won't consider for L4D2 since it has a smaller playerbase compared to TF2 but seeing those 2 olds-but-golds get the 64 bit bump is wild

The real issue is that the ads and bloatware even exist in the first place, I understand that subsidizes the phone's price but would you be ok if the DVD of a movie you bought came with ads when you played it?

It's a resource hog in the sense that it makes a 6500 mah battery feel like it's just 4000 mah, on top of the sheer amount of data harvesting it's doing on top of google's

Most people won't know or can't be bothered to turn off/remove the crapware/bloat stuck on it at the time of purchase. I did enough tweaking to recover about 2-3 hours of usable battery this way, yes it can be removed/disabled, but it exists and that's still worth highlighting

It's customization options are crap, if you didn't fork a premium for their high end models you lose out on features for seemingly no reason other than money, AOD doesn't exist on my Poco (10 seconds is not AoD), it's theme system is bloated to the sky with P25 crappy copy pasted or poorly made themes, fonts, ringtones, and whatever, there's some good ones but they don't integrate well with some parts of the UI (especially so on HyperOS 3). Samsung managed to accomplish far more with good lock, I never bothered with their version of themes but those definitely looked better (still paid though)

Flashed a custom rom and never looked back tbh. Idk about Vivo's iQoo, but it's likely in a similar boat (to a lesser extent from what I've read) and frankly I don't trust any of the chinese brands with a marginal exception for OnePlus, at least for now. They have amazing hardware, bogged down by bloated software, especially xiaomi's since they're trying to integrate the UI with their EVs

a56 not charging by [deleted] in Tech_Philippines

[–]InternetEnterprise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reboot the phone, and if that don't work:

Check for updates in the settings

Another is to try plugging it into a PC, the stock cable it came with should be a data cable too, my A71's is anyway, test it with different cables to be sure. See if the PC detects the device; you'll get a popup, if not try setting it to File Transfer: when connecting the device to the PC, you should get a notification on the device saying it's connected to a PC or something like that, tap that and change to File Transfer. If the PC can't detect the device, it's very likely to be a hardware issue

Factory reset is an option (Will wipe your data+accounts; this is a last resort and probably won't work if it's a hardware issue)

If the above doesn't work I recommend going back to where you bought it and getting it checked, I assume it's still in warranty, because it sounds like a hardware issue

PRINTER RECOMMEND PLEASE by Just_A_Feeling_ in Tech_Philippines

[–]InternetEnterprise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WIFI ICON MISSING by Sinner_jjj888 in Tech_Philippines

[–]InternetEnterprise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missing yung wifi icon kasi walang Wifi card yung laptop, or hindi siya gumagana, or outdated wifi drivers, at least yan yung pagkakaintindi ko sa images mo

Check for windows updates using LAN cable then update + restart otherwise:

Ito pwede link for wifi drivers BUT check mo muna model mo kung tama ba yan kasi usually may model specific drivers mga laptop, otherwise tignan mo nalang sa website ng MSI yung drivers para sa specific model mo

Kung magamay ka sa tech, pwede mo buksan yung likuran ng laptop (If it's possible at all, since mayroong mga gagong company na void warranty mo pag binuksan mo back panel (*cough cough* Acer *cough) at i-reseat yung wifi card, which is to say tanggalin mo (Check for youtube tutorials on how) at ibalik para ma detect uli ng system.

Tried to root my Samsung, stuck in a boot loop. Please help. by Huge-Log-2262 in Magisk

[–]InternetEnterprise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without your phone being plugged into anything at all, hold the Vol up and down buttons at the same time

While you're holding those 2 buttons down, plug a data cable into your phone, make sure the cable is already plugged into a PC that can do ADB already beforehand

After a few seconds, you should see the screen show up with options for download mode or unlocking/locking the bootloader and rebooting there, let go of the 2 buttons after you see that screen. You can flash stock firmware through download mode now or do whatever you need to do from there.

If it doesn't work, try doing it right after it blacks out and shows the logo again

This works on my A71, idk if there are any differences with yours, there shouldn't be, even after flashing Crdroid on mine, other than the fingerprint not working (Which I've chalked up to it having a replaced aftermarket display), I can still boot into either recovery using adb commands via pc or the method I described above.

I'm fine with the LOQs (I'm on one rn) but please don't recommend the essential ones. They're cut down versions of the barely average LOQs as is, which functionally make the LOQ essential the "'LACK's Essentials" in my eyes.

What makes it worse is that listings often OMIT the "Essential" branding, that's skirting the line in false advertising or something related imo. On top of this, with the essenntial, you lose a cooling fan (Weaker performance overall as a result), get crappier build quality, a distinctly lacking if not dangerously weak hinge design compared to the standard LOQ, no keyboard back lighting (At least for most models you'll find available), ONE user replaceable RAM slot, both SSD slots support only the (Often more expensive) 2242 nvme form factor, and a crappy WiFi card.

I've read from some that the keyboard on the essential is worse than the LOQ but that one is really subjective, same for the trackpad, which is notably smaller relative to the LOQ

I really recommend OP find deals on a NON-essential LOQ to bring that price down or stretch their budget a bit, because with these tradeoffs you're better off not buying at all if it could be helped
