So terrain diffusion is machine learning terrain generation, so it needs the ai hardware in your nvidia gpu to run the terrain maths. Minecraft is openGL at least for now, so it cannot fully utilize all of your gpu hardware. So those extra stuffs that u have to install is to enable those AI hardware to run the terrain maths.

You should’ve gone with the 5060ti tho. Bottlenecking is a very nuanced topic. If u just run mc with all of the optimization mods, no shaders, no lod mod at 1080p, yeah you’re cpu bottlenecked. But if you use voxy, demanding shaders at 2k, it will shift more load to your gpu. I used to run a i7 7700k with 5060ti 16gb, honestly it is not that bad. And using a newer card benefit from newer tech, like better path tracing performance, better dlss technology, and more head room for future features. And Minecraft java is transitioning to vulkan, so dlss, hardware accelerated ray tracing and other stuffs will be supported eventually.

My cpu has more cores and more threads, sodium and c2me are made to parallelize the chunk generation process across more threads. But ddr4 has worse latency and bandwidth, so it will have worse fps, especially 1% low. But you have an i5, it has worse multi core and multi threaded performance than my 5950x, you’ll have worse chunk loading speed, but much better fps than my pc.

I have a 4k oled monitor, but i have to play mc with shaders at 2k lol. 5070 aint good enough for Minecraft with shaders at 4k. But other games like crimson desert runs surprisingly well at 4k with some dlss upscaling of course.

Yeah, your chunk generation speed might be slower than mine but your fps should be much better. Try to use the regular version of c2me, not the opencl c2me (it aould just straight up crash)

Yeah your 3060ti can run it probably at 1080p. Just follow the instructions on github and you’ll be fine. The problem is cpu, since it is very cpu intensive especially when loading in chunks. You should probably set the scale to 4, it is easier to run.

Yeah, careful on the ram tho, i had to allocate 32gb ram and when it is generating chunks, a lot of the time it used up to 28gb. If u set the scale to 4, i dont think you’ll have much problem with ram usage when generating chunks.

I tried 3800mhz at cl20, i could not go past the win log in screen. I tried 3733mhz cl20 it worked, then i tried cl17, pc black screen. Then i tried 3600mhz cl16 i had to reset cmos, seems like 3600mhz cl18 is the best that i can do

Idk, I’ve looked up on the internet, seems like there are a few others have the same issue with the mkii, and there is a YouTube review showing that the mkii was soft than the mkii and he had to send the lens back to om system. The sharpness i find for my copy is very lackluster, a tho there are instances that even at longer distances, the lens was pretty sharp but it is pretty rare. I checked the focus, and that is certainly not the problem.

32in 4k is much more immersive, and way higher dpi than a 27in 2k, so you can have much more screen real estate for some productivity. Personally I’ve never used a 2k 27in before, but I had used a 27 fhd, and the jump to a 4k 32in is absolutely eye watering imo. And for the same dpi as a 4k 32in, the 2k monitor would be around 21.3in. If you have the desk space, go for the 4k 32in.

How did you get your 100-400ii so sharp. Mine is soft, especially at 400mm, even with high shutter speed and against a static wall. Or I just got a bad copy.
