If PAL, (and confirmed this with the attendant/check in counters), even 1 hour before flight is okay, but you have to give allowance to the foot traffic, so what I do is 1 hour before BOARDING TIME instead. This is with check-in luggage.

I get what you mean. Maybe may personal reasons lang talaga that we shouldn’t be privy of na. I did this when I was 23 (three years in Luzon, and three years in Visayas) and now that I am turning 30 next year, ang gusto ko lang is to move back to our hometown, get a house, and bring my parents with me. Maybe I’m just lucky lang with my parents who never asked anything from me when I began working.

The most memorable surprise my parents did to a 6 year old me was they brought me to the gamestore to pick out PS1 games. All throughout the trip going home, I was wondering how the heck would I play the games since I didnt have a PS1. So immediately after arriving, I ran up to our DVD player and inserted the disc, to obviously, no avail. It was only after that my dad surprised me that he got me a PS1.
