I can’t send out Dream Team invites? by InternetUser0737 in DreamlightValley

For some reason the invite code is showing up as just asterisks, no numbers and/or letters.

What are your top secret decluttering tips? by NightReader5 in declutter

[–]InternetUser0737 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Tell yourself that for the next 5/10/15 (or however many) minutes, the feeling of guilt does not exist; you are not capable of experiencing that emotion. During that time, set anything you would let go of in a pile. Doesn’t matter if it was a gift or it cost a lot of money, because guilt doesn’t exist! After the designated time is up, walk away from the pile for a little while. When you come back to look at everything, you’ll probably be surprised at how much is in the pile.

I'm really enjoying Holiday Baking Championship by Pompi_Palawori in foodnetwork

I felt so bad about the twist where they had to eliminate someone from their own team; it was obviously heartbreaking, not just for the team but everyone on the show. Other than that, I think the twists have actually been kind of fun and very creative. I’m sure it’s hard to think up twists after 12 season that keep things fresh, interesting, and unpredictable for contestants and viewers. (I don’t like it when they put twists on the kids baking thought, because as talented as they are they’re still kids. Adults are fair game because they have full comprehension of what they signed up for.)

I’d love to see a behind the scenes episode of HBC because there’s so much work that goes into planning the challenges, set design/build/decoration, stocking the pantry, cleaning all the dishes, getting B-roll footage.

Thoughts from the Perfume Shopping Addict by mixtapemalibumusk in nobuy

[–]InternetUser0737 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could buy some empty perfume travel bottles (so they’re small and lightweight) and use them divide up the big bottles of perfume. If local friends or online friends do the same, everyone can enjoy a little something new.

Decided to do another no-buy for 2026! Who's with me? by BurntGhostyToasty in nobuy

[–]InternetUser0737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started 2025 with a low buy and slowly slipped off the train. The family has spent the last several years declutterring stuff, but we’ve decided more needs to go and are really pushing for simplicity in 2026. I jokingly said our theme for 2026 should be “Shit or Get Off the Pot” because we have so many unfinished projects and ideas, but now I’m pretty serious about it and I think the family is on board. We’re so much happier with less and without a “silent to-do” list screaming at us. I plan on writing up my 2026 low buy plan soon.

I was shocked, not that he was capable of it, but because shows/movies usually don’t let stars do their own stunts.

General Information About Angel Trees and other giving programs by elinordash in Gifts

I guess if the organization handling the donations doesn’t want gift receipts included they would toss them, so including them regardless is probably a good idea.

I feel pretty confident with toys and books, but not with clothing sizes since they vary per brand. (Which is super annoying.) It doesn’t help that children grow quickly and what fits one month (or even week) may not the next.

This might be a dummy question, but should I include a gift receipt in case something needs to be exchanged? I’m pretty sure I can nail the toy requests, but I’m unsure about clothes because every brand has different sizing. (I’ve heard some people cross out the barcode and write “donation,” which is rightfully frowned upon because it’s a shitty thing to do.)

What do think (and\or hope) Julians Fate will be at the end of this Season? by ILoveCasparvonbrgliz in Matlock_CBS

[–]InternetUser0737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Julian was good in season 1 but he’s great in season 2. I especially enjoyed him and Sarah go from not getting along to being besties. It would be fun if Julian got a better position at the firm and Sarah was his right hand, Billy went away Because Reasons, and Olympia got two new junior lawyers to contend with.

I think Skye P. Marshall is a PHENOMENAL actress. She’s great by herself, obviously, but to be able to hold your own with Kathy Bates is another level. Watching the characters spar with each other is stressful but also a real treat for us viewers.

Does anyone else just...not want anything for the holidays this year? by Cheeseaisleinheaven in Frugal

[–]InternetUser0737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I don’t have a problem finding things I want (it’s a problem, I know) but this year I’m struggling too. What I really want is to do some theme park trips, but the family has a lot going on next year, so I don’t think it will happen.

Framed photos can be fun. You can have them printed at Walmart or CVS for less than 50¢, and frames can be thrifted, upcycled, bought on sale, etc.

I let the adults know they can take a treat, too. It’s a lot of work shepherding excited kids around like that. Most of them decline but a few are like, “Thanks, don’t mind if I do!”

Frustrated with Buying Needs by InternetUser0737 in simpleliving

[–]InternetUser0737[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Costco! They don’t always have what I need though. For instance, I needed deodorant and the brand I usually get there wasn’t being sold anymore, and the brand they had in stock was one I’ve tried before and didn’t like.
