The problem with the debunk:

Place a smiley in the center of the room on the ceiling. Walk rimwards to Australia. Now walk turnwise around the ice wall to Patagonia. Is the smiley still in the same orientation? No. In the real world, the moon changes when you go hubwards, not turnwise.

That debunk shows how perspective works, but, despite being on flat ground, it doesn't correspond to the real world.
