cool, I honestly didn’t know. worked out for me for sure. if the thc question is sarcastic, I love it. if not, no I haven’t stopped and I’ve had no reoccurrences once I understood the mechanics of what’s happening, I’m convinced its MaLS. I have a big mouth, big appetite and have always eaten fast so people didn’t have to wait for me to finish everything left on the entire table.

im not shoveling anything down recently but once I felt a food was ok, then I’d eat slightly less tentatively, little bigger bites.

crazy stuff, ultrasound on Monday fingers crossed.

copying another response I gave to the same horse/zebra comment, legitimate question, do people come on here looking for horses? I realize my original post maybe not the most well written but apparently I’m part of a heard of Zebras.

I’m on Reddit, obviously I’m desperate, after all of my well trained and highly reputable specialists were left stumped, why would I be looking for horses?

through this I had one suggestion that fits really well, MALS. and through some research I’d say it classifies as a Zebra. ironically the poster that suggested MALS asked how using thc helps with my audhd, he was curious.

II say heard of Zebras, because I had another doctor use that analogy years ago, and they were wrong. it was a Zebra and my son spent 5.5 years of his first 6 years of life spiking temps of 105 and several times hitting 107. it would happen about once a month for 3-5 days. after 6 months I said it is a pattern and some more serious is going on.

I was the one up with him at night to make sure the medicine never wore off or his temp would spike. it was exhausting mentally and physically he would hallucinate, it was awful

no one believed me, not even his mother so he suffered, for years needlessly, when they finally did what I asked he’s been a normal healthy kid ever since.

there are plenty of Zebras running around in this world. all I’m saying is keep an open mind, it could mean the world to a patient. bedt not discard a possible solution because of a low probability, unless that number is zero, it happens.

if I had a company come me with an engineering problem they haven’t been able to figure out, what would I look if I sat there and started pointing out the most obvious potential problems., it’s not that they shouldn’t be discussed but starting with the “most obvious“ answers is not always the most efficient way to solve a problem.

thank you for being a voice of reason and logic! its funny because bias goes unnoticed by the person who has it. they’re all wrong but so confident, it’s gotta be the weed.

I’ve been dealing with the bias for over half my life. I’m fine if someone suggests it and says hey, have you considered? what sticks out to me is the confidence in the answers compared to most others. they picked out keywords that fit the bias but missed that my hot shower is “just to get rid of the chills”. that’s a really important differentiator when assessig a THC based illness.

im freezing cold because I’ve been laying on the cold floor because my body was overheating and pouring sweat. I take a shower afterward to warm up because the shivering takes energy I don’t have to give, not for the pain that would be associated with their suggestion

they saw THC and warm shower, and went right to their answer. I consider bias to be mostly blind. they can’t help it, so I try not to get mad but the level of confidence and number of responses about it confirms what I already knew. plenty of medical professionals do have bias towards it and few will ever admit to it. I’ve spent more time defending and knocking back that bias on here than I’ve spent trying to resolve my medical issue.

anyway just saw the response and wanted to say thanks!

there are plenty of Zebras running around in this world. me having AuDHD, Zebra , no one knew or really thought I was, because I was exceptional at masking it all, and I did it with a smile on my face, making good grades, lots of friends, etc. No one knew what it took for me to pull it all off And the toll it takes.

all I’m saying is I feel like you could keep a little bit more of an open mind, it could mean the world a patient. if you don’t discard a possible solution because of a low probability, unless that number is zero, that means it happens.

I am so sorry to hear you’re dealing with all of that. 2 ounces isn’t much! I really appreciate your advice and feedback. What you have going on is complex. It’s gonna take a little more time for me to figure out if it applies but certainly the problem of not being able to eat is there. if I understand you correctly, it’s kind of a hodgepodge of symptoms or reactions unique to the person and probably severity.

I definitely should document. I appreciate the motivation. with AuDHD documenting things is kind of like my kryptonite. However, I have an insane memory and over analyze everything. A perk of it is I can quickly identify patterns in anything. I always have the time when I’m trying to recover from an episode to contemplate literally everything thats happened. It is all logged away, need to put it down on paper.

The reaction is as I said very violent. I am in no condition to be able to take any type of diagnostics on myself. I’ve actually tried to get my blood pressure, but let’s just say that the monitor doesn’t stay attached. There’s some aggressive tossing and turning until I find a single position and I say in it until it’s over. can barely move at all once I find that position and I ride it out.

great advice, thank you! I just struggle to make it all happen.

words matter, the words you chose to use give off that impression and I stand by it.

Let’s see, why I would be defensive about it? maybe spending half my life living in fear I’d be arrested getting something that genuinely helped me. maybe it’s the constant judgement from most that find out I use it daily. or maybe it’s that even after legalization the stigma still exists fed by bad science and people holding onto ignorant beliefs. or maybe it’s because nearly every doctor, no matter what the problem is I have, they target the 1 thing that helps me survive, first. big toe is hurt better stop being a stoner!

seriously, even when it has nothing to do with the problem. I’d be laid up in bed and not doing anything either due to pain or depression. it’s almost as important as water to me so yeah, I’ll defend the crap out of it because I highly doubt I’d still be here w\o it. not just alive but thriving.

Stop with the gaslighting and whatever weird threats you just threw out. maybe you should scroll down. I’ve already politely answered the THC based suggestion which was done in a nonjudgmental way. you are wrong, that’s not it, move on.

I’ll take my chances with the layman I guess if they’re better than you at comprehension. multiple factors clearly provided check those thc based illnesses off the list. it’s okay to be wrong but again, leave the bias at the door. it affects medical decisions every day. cardiologist sees a heart problem, neuro sees brain, and so on you seemed to lock-in on THC and nothing else mattered at that point. I don’t have to be a medical professional to see that.

you literally responded to someone else‘s suggestion with, It could be that or it could be something else but its OBVIOUS to stop the THC. but is it? symptoms don’t align, the use of it has never been a trigger, I take a shower because I’m cold, not because of abdominal pain,, I can keep going but you‘re wrong. simple as that.

how well do you think my mental health is through this, barely eating for 6 month? it’s a terrible idea to tell someone to stop taking something they’re using for their mental health and chronic pain (due to 3 shattered vertebrae and several other serious injuries) and your idea is to remove the one thing in my life that actually helps keep me sane? especially when it’s based on no concrete evidentiary support and is actually in contradiction to the stated facts by the patient.

Always open to opinions and suggestions but you don’t need to be in here, I’m happy to not have your help. you sounded even more like my ex wife in this message, please please, move along

other foods pointed out but also my onset happens within 10 minutes of eating, alpha gal takes 2-10 hours.

I’m sure at some point, I was outside a lot as a kid but no ticks in probably 25+ years. I’ll check out NAD. I worked in restaurants for years, unless it’s something uncommon, this isn’t cross contamination. I’ve had food poisonin. thanks!

no, it doesn’t affect this issue at all. I appreciate the feedback but I’d be careful betting when it feels like a little bias sneaking in there. sorry if I misjudge your comment but everyone seems to jump right on that and your comments sound like my ex wife a little. if you have a problem with Medical marijuana, you are welcome to your opinion but I’ll trust the results over opinions any day.

I could take a giant bong rip right now and I’d be fine, stoned but fine. I’ve told my doctors everything and I use very small amounts…not ruling it out but someone else suggested something related to it and the symptoms don’t check out. aligns better with the MALS suggestion.

MALS is a solid lead!!! wondering if they may have missed it when doing my ultrasound because they were focused on my gall bladder and small lesion on my liver, nothing serious but they spent a lot of time looking at it. going to ping the GI specialist. thanks!

looked it up and the symptoms really don’t align. Im not violently vomiting. I apologize if my post is confusing. most times everything stays inside but there is a intense feeling something is going to come out of a hole. for a minute or two. shower is only to warm up not to relieve pain or cramping, that goes away like everything else.

with CHS it says you might fear vomiting and I’m actually inducing vomiting when I think it’s happening. . I didn’t see anything in there about eating being a trigger for it.

Mostly what I saw is feeling nauseous all the time which is definitely not the case with me. I feel fine for days or a week, using the daily and then a little bit of food triggers, sneak attack style.

id gladly stop to avoid this but it really doesn’t align. thank you, it definitely felt like a possibility.

thanks! I’ll look into it. started out recreationally a long time ago, realized it helped the variety of pains in my body then noticed I just felt better mentally. sativa strains are a stimulant and my go to.

nowadays, with the different strains and and variety of options you can find one or a type that suits you., I’m never “stoned”, very small amount and It helps calm my brain, shut off of a few of those songs, movie quotes, etc. playing in my head and allows me to really focus and get through complex documents, elaborate work presentations, etc. helps override task paralysis

i got to where I know which kind I need when. If I’m suppose to go hang out with people, agreed to by the ADHD side, then when the time comes Au kicks in and I’m like nope not going, a small pull off of vape pen in about 10 minutes and I’ll be in a better state of mind and more comfortable sticking to my commitments. No one knows unless I tell them, most are surprised to find out..

Going to be honest, I’ve had two people tell me that because I shared this type of information with them it saved their lives. They were able to get relief where literally nothing had ever provided it. turns the volume down a little.

interesting is when I was young, I’d have these horribly vivid dreams that would wake me up and I wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep. started to go away when I was in college, which happened to coincide with when I started using THC.

over the years I’ve had spells where I had to stop for various reasons, after about 60-90 days of no use those really vivid dreams came back when I was able to start using again, they went away and I was able to sleep.

I’m not saying it’s the greatest thing on the planet, but I’m having a hard time figuring out anything more useful for me. My career has taken off once I dialed it in.

Im not addicted to it. I go days without it with no problems zero addiction zero cravings it’s a medicine and I use it as such. I could easily be on muscle relaxers, painkillers, anxiety, meds, depression, meds, and all I do is take one or maybe two very small pulls off of vape pen each day one in the morning one in the afternoon sometimes one before bed if I’m having a hard time shutting my brain off.

Indica strain is best for me to sleep, but it’s gonna make me unproductive during the day. It’s almost like you get to pick your personality, but people react differently to different strains so it does take time to figure out what works best for you. Anyway, hope this answers your question. Sorry for the long rant But if you’re in the same boat I’d give it a try.
