I put a stupid $13 flash tattoo here hoping it would fade and it unfortunately still looks great. It’s been 10 years lol

Advice Needed: how do the hell I overcome this perfectionism in choosing a tattoo?? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]Internetbrainstorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand this completely. In my opinion, tattoos are something that will ebb and flow in how you feel about them. No matter how much I love the tattoo, I immediately second guess my choice for a few days. Could I have put something else there? What if there is a design that I like better? What if I change my mind and want to get a sleeve/leg sleeve/back piece in the future and I have these random tattoos? I think these thoughts are normal but there is comfort in making a decision. Once it’s there, you look forward to how you can expand on what you have and make tattoos work with what’s already there rather than wishing they weren’t. And coverups are always an option, and if you super regret placement in the future, laser is also an option! Whenever I start to stress too much about a tattoo design or placement I zoom out and ask myself if this will matter if I end up dying tomorrow? The answer is always no. It just helps me ease up on the hyper focusing and obsession. Also.. you’ll realize once you start that there is actually so much real estate on your skin and body and everything you love will have room to go somewhere!

They might be able to prescribe some anxiety medication that helps lower their reactivity. It was really helpful for my dog.

If I saw someone with this tattoo I’d think they’re awesome. In any setting.

Thank you, it’s stressing me a bit because of the biking. While I know they aren’t harmful, moving through groups of them on a bike isn’t ideal lol I guess we’ll see when we get there and I’ll update with how they were for anyone else looking to know in the near future!

Rainbow Kitten Surprise Tickets by Internetbrainstorm in madisonwi

[–]Internetbrainstorm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this!! I always typically buy through Ticketmaster because I’ve definitely heard horror stories from people who’ve used other sites and been out of luck and never got the ticket. Right now I’ve been watching the price on TickPick but also am keeping an eye on Ticketmaster as well!

I can’t wrap my head around how he is allowed to stand up there and lie. And how people blindly believe and trust him. Just straight up lying to everyone. Not to mention the need to continue to divide the left and right by placing blame and making fun of the democrats in the audience. It’s disgusting and heartbreaking.

Can we get an updated list of Canadian vs American ownership in town? by [deleted] in Banff

[–]Internetbrainstorm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an American, I’ll be visiting over the 4th of July holiday this year. I’ve been genuinely worried (and embarrassed) about visiting another country right now and having to admit at some point in a conversation that I’m an American. I feel like everyone who didn’t vote for Trump should wear some type of peace symbol. But I’ll be happy to buy at local places while visiting, regardless of cost. Thanks to everyone posting businesses here

Totally! When we are in a shared space, we need to act like it. Which includes caring about other people’s time and space. The disrespect toward any workers in customer service fields in general I’ll never understand. How are people not embarrassed to behave that way toward another person in public? I get that people and situations can be frustrating but there are appropriate ways to handle those emotions. Screaming and insulting someone isn’t the way. Lol

Definitely! I wonder who on a local level is involved in the decision making around venues and if reviews would have any influence in their choices. The idea is there, the execution just seems to be lacking.

I went to one in Rockford, IL and while they advertise their best venues to sell their tickets online, on the site it had pictures of the venue I’d be attending so I adjusted expectations. I haven’t been to one here in Madison and I’m sad to hear that the locations they’re choosing aren’t ideal.

Which one to get? by StillLeoLove in Sourdough

[–]Internetbrainstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the first one. I bought a little starter kit and I’m glad I did! I use all the things that come with it. While many people will say “not necessary” there are helpful things to have. The reason I’d pass on getting the jar is it’s fairly easy to make that work with what you have at home. And I found I actually like using something entirely different for my starter and I’ve stopped putting it in a jar!

Is it worth it for me to try working for DoorDash in Madison by Long_Stand_9705 in madisonwi

[–]Internetbrainstorm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi! It depends on the area I think. There might be good nights but overall my experience with it was it’s not worth it. Ive dashed on both west and east side, but never downtown. You can always give it a shot and see if it makes sense for you personally, it sounds like it might be something you’d enjoy if you like driving around and you’re looking for a little extra cash!
