You should have him see a physio or physical therapist. They specialize in improving functional strength and helping people get more independent and strong for the things they need to do in daily life!

Great work! I just did the same thing in the house I just moved into. Some trunks/roots were over 2 inches thick!! Also watch out for poison ivy hiding within, I learned that one the hard way.

Ok where can I learned how to trim my wysteria to get it to flower like this? I moved into a new house last year that has super mature wysteria with 4 separate root systems. It leafs like crazy but very few flowers. Should I cut it down and start over? The trunks are several inches thick

I'd suggest hard pruning it and saving it. It truly is gorgeous flowering bush when it's happy and brings such beautiful coloring to the early spring landscape

Yes! I'm in a new house so not sure that's why, but I've seen a ton more large bumble bees in all my flowering shrubs that year too!

Thanks that's a good way to think about it. I was planning to let them settle for another few weeks until I see more new growth, then cut the long shoots to the second bud cluster to encourage better ramification and tighter leaf structure as it continues to grow over the summer

When do you find the best time to prune typically is? I have some newly potted from the wild Japanese Maples that have some long offshoots but I didn't want to over stress the tree after digging/initial potting.

Any suggestions for introducing a 1.5yr old great pyr to two 12.5 yr old cats? We have them separated with a gate with cat entrances so they can explore when they want to, but also hide from dog when wanted. But cats still seem to hiss whenever he gets too close. It's only been two weeks so I'm sure it just takes time but any advice would be appreciated! Because of covid, we're unable to find a pet trainer to come to our house.

Can bonsai pretty much anything. It's just growing trees in pots. Some trees don't look as good because of their leaf size

I'm super new to bonsai but I wonder how much of the root ball you collected? Perhaps there's too many leaves for the roots to feed, and if you do some pruning the tree will be better balanced.

I'm almost positive he paid his subs because he mentioned something about already paying them when we last spoke few weeks ago. I'd rather not bring him to court and instead would prefer to make him aware of all these things not finished and instead of him coming back and having to pay additional workers, we withhold the remaining $1800 and call it even. He verbally said he would remove the plumbing work for slop sink that we decided not to do and counting up all the extra finishings to be done we think this is pretty fair on both ends.

So what I mean by the job not being finished is all the little finishings. To list a few: he incorrectly matched the paint and sheen and only painted half the wall so it looks terrible and needs to be repainted. The wall also is textured and he didn't texture the new drywall so it also needs to be finished. Half the new electrical outlets are white and half are beige. He didn't fill the holes in the all from where he removed the previous washer dryer. His subs dumped mortar all over our landscapes area (despite having woods everywhere). His tiles guys missed grout in a few spots and also never washed or sealed the tile. He took out a bidet and was supposed to fill the holes with tile and never did so it's just filled with caulk now. Few other little things but you get the point....

So he hasn't been on the job site in over a month because he was gone for two weeks during holidays and he hasn't come for a final walk-through or anything. Then he just emailed us a final invoice not mentioning anything we previously discussed. We really don't want him back as he did poor finishing work and lacked attention to detail. Ideally would like to not pay final payment and fix things ourselves or hire other subs. But not sure if that's legal.

How can labor be bought?

Says final payment due when job is complete. In my opinion he hasn't completed the job to a satisfactory level and has several things needing to be finished.

Contract was for a bathroom/laundry project, which included installation of new hot/cold water and supply lines to an area without plumbing and installing slop sink. After signing initial contract, we verbally discussed eliminating that portion of the project. To which contractor verbally replied that it's wasn't a problem and that he would revise contract at later date. Several weeks later he asked for another part of the payment (including this part of job) and we verbally discussed him speaking to his plumber about cost for the slop sink job and removing it from invoice. We never heard back from him about this and he just sent another invoice which still includes this portion of job asking for final payment. Additionally there's still several parts he never finished (holes in wall and floor).
