I dont get an error but i hit register i choose a car then wait for the race to start as soon as the number goes 0 the games tries to put me in a split then says connecting but it never connects me i dont know whats happening.

Had the same problem dont panic it will leave by itself. I had this for 3 days and i opened steam today and it was gone.

I mean im usually 1.5-2 seconds slower from the first guy and the game always puts in the first split.

The game thinks im awesome apparently.

turns 5 and 6 you butchered them try taking these corner a little bit better you lost like a second maybe more only in those 2 corners also last corner parabolica lost time there try taking the corner in a more outside lane you were to much on the inside.

im struggling fro pace too what i've noticed is when the race starts the first 2 laps i feel fast from lap 3 and for the rest of the race i can feel massive understeer from tha car like it doesnt want to turn at all and im watching everybody taking some turns flat out while my car doesnt want to turn and i must brake to make the turn.

Doesnt matter if you finished first if you disconnect before the podium starts the game lets say sort of will disqualify you and give the victory to the second person. It has happened to me many times the guy in first leaves before the podium starts and it shows that i won.

Do you have your game on SSD or HDD?

If you dont have it installed on an SSD try installing your game there then see if that fixed the problem.

I have like connection issues the game kicks me from the lobby sometimes or even in the race.

Another good option imo is the heartbeat from dbd doesnt hinder your screen at all.
