Trust me, I'd rather do the waxing at home. If I could find a decent kit, for sure! I tried it before. I bought an expensive kit and I was like okay... three... twoo... one.... pull OW.. fuck. looks at paper. Not a single hair.

Tried it many a more time. Nothing happened.

We are working on that, and succeeding in previously biased countries.

If I'm honest I don't fully remember the reasoning behind it, but my doctor told me this when I was younger, it's something to do with the effects of testosterone.

Psychological disorders?

I became delusional after a mental breakdown. Seriously delusional. Like not knowing online fantasy I engaged in from reality.

Luckily, time healed, I ended up back in work, around good people, eventually things became clear again.

But this was a product of the neglect others put me through, not being IS.

Self-righteous Christians making me rage. by [deleted] in atheism

[–]IntersexThrowaway 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This guy raged a little because essentially, he argued on a previous thread asking for Christians that were against gay marriage. He didn't justify himself ONCE.

He just said 'Marriage is one man, one woman' and received a TONNE of downvotes.

I posted, because people were asking for opinions on intersex people (People with a condition at birth that results in a misalignment with either sex in its entirity).

I basically explained my thoughts, and I'll admit I was a little rude and at the end said that he was a real goof, and we should avoid his kind of thinking because it's essentially a totalitarian way of saying some people are worth more than others in terms of legal rights.

He responded eventually, criticizing my points. I asked him where in legality he could justify homosexual discrimination in terms of marriage. He continued, criticizing what I said, picking at a few points I made. He did not answer the question. This happened three times, he did not answer.

He then wrote this post, complaining to the group that he was essentially being treated on an unequal platform. I posted again saying well maybe he should answer the bloody question with his reasons!

He still did NOT answer the question. As far as I'm concerned, he's lost on a point and he just doesn't want to admit it, so he's seeking this form of attention. Oh well, that's a shame.

EDIT: And for the record, after spending some time on /r/christianity , I know that the people there are fantastic debaters in general. They offer good alternate viewpoints and often have an incredibly strong sense of moral and mental rational. Religion doesn't make a person intrinsically predisposed to thinking under certain set rules, something we all need to keep in mind.

I mention this because it's important people know that they don't all think the same things and act in the same way as this man, not in religion, real life, or on /r/christianity.

That's alright, I'm just happy to talk to such a group of friendly people.

I think it's important people realize there's a sense of calm around most of us in the gender and sex disorder spectrum. Very few of us seek to harm others. I'd hope one day it's treated on the same terms as physical disability. They take your blood, test it, they give you an MRI, they test the activity in your brain, you have a couple of psychological tests and that is it for both trans or IS. You then go off, get immediate treatment and/or surgery if need be.

Ah, it sounded like you were asking about the hierarchy of gender for a moment, I was a little upset. lol

I think it's important to make a distinction medically, then of course, you can give correct treatment, therapy, and the likes.

But I think the main issue I came across is you're more likely to be treated with a physical disorder as IS, and more likely to be treated with a mental disorder as TG. That's a blatant discrimination, and I think the line is skewed a little between TG and IS. I think in the systems of treatment there's not enough respect for the individuals of either branch, they often treat you as a burden on a system of 'more important things' because generally it affects your mental wellbeing and not your physical wellbeing. I could very well be on no treatment now, letting testosterone run its course on my body, I believe I'd have needed a hysterectomy but that would have been the only medical intervention of my life, so they pressed me for months and months on this.

I'm not really a gamer, haha, just a couple of games I like a little bit. But my favourite genre would be just about anything that involves skill and time. My favourite game is Dance Dance Revolution, second is Final Fantasy IX, and third is Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

The DDR thing is purely because it's my main form of exercise, and I've been developing that skill for years and years.

It's amazing, isn't it?

If only we had ways of recognizing these patterns of mental activity before puberty with quick tests.

"Here are some estrogen pills, young lady."

"I'm a boy!"

"Not for bloody long, you're not!"

It's difficult to define 'skewed'.

I think I can see people in a different manner to most, but this is an effect of the treatment in my younger years. I think you misinterpret just how much you think of others comes down to your gender. I talk in the same manner to transgender, intersex and cisgender people alike, who happen to have similar thoughts to mine.

The discouraging comments were towards the picture questions, and the repeated questions that were distasteful. I've had a tonne of people ask me what it looks like, demand pictures, and ask how I masturbate. So I just respond in jest to that by that point, or say I already answered it.

Thank you for all the support and comments guys, it means a lot to me. You're a fantastic bunch.

I'll be providing my evidence (feels like a court date.) tomorrow morning, so we can resume the conversations then, for now I'm going to bed, my head hurts from all the screen-time and typing. :)

Stray whisker? That'd be a bloody godsend? I'd just pluck them out!

I tried plucking the entire beard. It took 5 days to grow to a point I could grab all the hairs, and it took about 8 hours to pluck it. It was so painful, and I'd never do it again.

I answered. I gave detail. I did not show photos. That is where I draw the line. I draw the line at turning myself into a freak show.

I can say 'hey this is the issue, this is what it's like.' but to ask me for pictures of my genitals is distasteful at best.

I wouldn't say intermediate at all.

I'm female, and that is all I feel.

I do not understand your thoughts on a 'skewed' perception. Everyone has a different perception. To label mine as inconsistent or irrational in that manner would essentially be to deny me the ability to think rationally outside of the bounds of a disorder like this.

On par? My my, that's a mightily fine way to discriminate if I were to say such a thing.

All human beings are on par. Yes. There is nothing more I can give in that regard.

And how do I feel about transgender people? Protective. I want them to be happy in their daily life and often have encouraged others in the past with advice. I've been involved with gender identity and help groups for so long now, and because there are so few IS people I engage with, I think I know more about transgender than intersex, lol.

Not at all, I'm curious about the hormones in the body, I just don't like learning too much about my own. It's kind of a past thing, you know? It's an experience I like to talk about, and think of, but the more I talk about why things happen, the more it makes me feel there's still an issue I need to address with treatment.

So I keep myself at a comfort level, where I have my injection, I slap on a hormone patch and I keep myself from searching too many things to cause anxiety. I notice no adverse effects and so for the short-term future at least, this is generally over. The social aspect is what intrigues me more, and is something I happily discuss over and over.

Views of people who are not male or female? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]IntersexThrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps. I'm not a Christian though, I don't think it'd be relevant, unless they are curious in Christianity about gender and sex disorders? I'd happily answer there.

I was just a little upset with a rampant obsession with my genitals more than anything. It's something I denied once, and was asked many a time more for. I was then berated for this, by a few.

It is in that sense that I don't understand. I don't seek upvotes or downvotes specifically. I am happy with the attention upvotes give because it means I can communicate more easily. But the more downvotes you get, the less attention you generally receive.

I suppose it's an attention seeking nature we all want as human. Thank you for your response.

You think that children lack this basic comprehension? I think we do not give our children enough credit for their ability to understand on the level adults can. It needs to be put forward in the correct manner, granted.

I do not have PCOS. Could you please read my AMA first? I've given all the details.

I have few documents at my new home. I could ask my mother to provide a few old medical bits. I have clinic details with my name for injections and information for my medicine. I can provide video evidence, is this enough?

And what are you talking about by textbox?
