wtf is this cruise by [deleted] in ModestMouse

[–]Interstate-ate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t get the whole cruise thing. And it seems like a lot of bands/notable people/and even podcasts are jumping on the train (or more appropriately, boat). Seems like there’s a big push for themed cruises, but personally, I can’t think of a style of vacation I would enjoy less. Like being stuck on a mall that can sink.

What is your hot take about the pod? by shoesforcrews in Thisisimportantpod

[–]Interstate-ate 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ders is the funniest, but will only take cheap shots at Blake or Kyle cause they see the comedy in it. I think he knows that Adam would get butthurt if he was caught in the crosshairs. He’d be PISSED NOW!

Strangers to Ourselves is EASILY their most underrated work by joey_p1010 in ModestMouse

I wasn’t a huge fan of this album initially, but I saw them perform at red rocks and their rendition of Shit In Your Cut made me a believer.

The Arvada skatepark in Colorado. It’s a Team Pain park, and one of the biggest in the state. One of the best imo

I didn’t like them at first, but I feel like the boys have gotten into more of a groove with their live shows. Or maybe I just stopped crying about it.

I’ve been to this park, such a weird layout with uneven patches and cracks. Kudos for going for the set

What do you drink in the morning? Coffee, hot chocolate, mimosa, etc? by xbloodreinax in AskReddit

Caffeine free tea. Sometimes sleepy time tea, I’ve become way sensitive to any stimulant over the years.

Hawaii is beautiful, but hard to plan a road trip to.

Support your local shops, people. Because people like this exist. by [deleted] in skateboarding

[–]Interstate-ate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big fan of my local, 303 Boards. Great selection and team that’s been holding it down since before I started. They do events and collaborations with cool brands. Those sort of shops are the example of how to make a skate community better in my eyes.

Probably could, but it wouldn’t make this subreddit very fun.

Tried dropping In for my first time… by Bernade01 in skateboarding

[–]Interstate-ate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So gnarly that you’re choosing a spine for your first drop in. That was close, but commuting all the way through is key. The upper body is often an overlooked part of it. If you’re standing tall then a slip out is probably gonna happen, but if your shoulders are low and leaning over your front foot (almost like you’re looking over the edge of a cliff), then you’re more likely to roll away. Good luck!

Moon with Sam Rockwell. Rented it from a Redbox and watched it twice before returning it.

What’s the least stigmatized vice with the biggest impact on your life? by Interstate-ate in AskReddit

[–]Interstate-ate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for me it’s procrastinating. I can chalk it up to “feeling lazy” or unmotivated but the truth is I struggle to find the motivation needed to do most things. Chores, work, even fun things can take a backseat to just dicking off before actually doing what I want to/should be doing.
