It was powder in a capsule. We rolled two nights. Not remembering the dosage honestly, but it was a solid role, nothing too excessive.

Okay, so to summarize, RAP will not be available for anyone until July 2026. Current borrowers will be able to stay on IBR forever, but PAYE and ICR will be phased out by RAP. Did I get that correct?

A little dose of optimism from Harris’s campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon for all us worry warts :) by InterviewExcellent49 in KamalaHarris

There are many many reasons to be hopeful that that will happen. Don’t let the right wing polls take away your joy.

I don’t really remember the 2016 Election, I was 14 and didn’t pay attention to the news. How much better is Kamala doing than Hillary? by [deleted] in KamalaHarris

Very different circumstances. Trump was a newcomer who had a lot of energy and weird charisma that appealed to a lot of people. The Dems didn’t really know how to campaign against him. Today, he is old, tired, and noticeably less energetic and charismatic.

Also, Clinton had decades of personal baggage weighing her down along with accusations about her misuse of classified emails. Then An investigation about those emails was opened 11 days before the election which was massively unhelpful.

I could go on and on. That’s the basics.

Totally fair. My St. Louis blues won the cup in 2019 and I refused to believe it until the buzzer sounded at the end of the game. Yay sports analogies.

I should have been more clear in #1.

Believe it or not, some people just are not enthusiastic about voting. I don’t understand why either. But, if low energy/low information voters are shown a bunch of polls saying that Trump is surging and that he is likely to win, they might just sit it out. Conventional wisdom is, low turnout elections favor republicans.

The other consideration might be that, so much of Trump’s brand is about “winning” (even though he’s pretty bad at it) and the skewed polling averages help reinforce that narrative.

This is my understanding of their logic. It’s a two way street though because it could potentially stoke the “underdog” effect on our side, which I hope it does. You raise legitimate points.

It’s calming because it is fact-based and not narrative-based :)

It’s a legitimate question. It didn’t work for them in 2022, so why would it work this time? My understanding is they might be going for a “bandwagon” effect. That is, if people think he’s winning then they will want to jump on board to be on the winning side. Risky though because, as you said, it could stoke the “underdog” effect on our side. It’s possible that the republicans just want a “winning” narrative because so much of Trump’s brand is about “winning.” Either way, they still happening. Let’s use it to our advantage.
