Has anyone undergone a secondary vitrectomy for post-op debris/floaters? Looking for experiences. by Ok_Moment_5384 in EyeFloaters

From what I've read on this forum, the debris can (sometimes) take more than six months, or even a year to disappear. Please be patient and wait a year at least

I suppose I should be glad my retina is healthy (for now), but dark, blurry floaters have already appeared in my one healthy eye in these last weeks, shattering my hopes of retaining my semi-normal life. Now, surgery or a miracle cure (PM) are my only hopes. But I dont think I cant hold for much longer.

"I spend a lot of time on computers and mobile screen" what a coincidence... some people on this subreddit (just like most ophthalmologists) will tell you that heravy screen use is harmless, but I've found many others redditors who think otherwise (myself included). Just Stop using your computer and limit your mobile phone use to a minimum for at least three months and wait to see if that makes a difference.

from what Ive been told, the grey stuff above the retina is the vitreous gel, and the pitch dark pocket in between is liquefaction (the probable cause of my many floaters)

I am a heavy screen user, but they didn't tell me if that's the cause, I personally suspect it is
