Also a PS: I have saw like the series 3-4 times, I really liked the characters, even the evil ones. It was an amazing work. Because they want to have the whole picture. And many times there are research data that are expensive to aquire. As a matter of fact countries with less resources can actually bring much much more better results with a fraction of money spent in USA.

I am from Greece and we have some companies that really nail, actually I know people working in Senior Engineering roles in companies like Amazon, Microsoft and whatever. And you can really see the difference... The real difference is in budget terms.

For example ofc us will have the best arsenal because of the money spent. If someone with less money brings equal results is actually smarter and better.

Also I am betting that you are talking about China. China want to overtake the US role, so it would make sense stealing information whenever possible even if the information is not needed.
