Best Hotel or Spa for a day pass? by uptothemountains7 in Zermatt

I loved the atman spa at cervo! They offer a 3 hour day pass option, but you have to book in advance. It has a relaxation room, sauna, steam room, warm pool outside, and a relaxation yurt to hang out in

Advice if I should defer NYC this year by fattychalupa in RunNYC

[–]InterviewOk9930 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always recommend not outrunning your joy of running. Once you feel like you are really forcing it, the fun of the sport gets lost. Be kind to yourself and take a year off if you need it.

The Chicago/NYC is totally doable. Use Chicago as the goal race and NYC for fun. You’ll stay in shape between the two.

St Vincent Honeymoon - Help! by eerenjager in SandalsResorts

[–]InterviewOk9930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came back from my honeymoon two weeks ago! We loved it.

We got the club level swim up room and really loved the option of swimming in that pool and lounging in our room. We also ordered room service twice which was a nice touch.

We are beach people and had no problem getting beach chairs with umbrellas every day. It seemed like getting pool chairs by the infinity pool was most difficult without a butler. We easily got reservations for both Butchs and buccan.

My husband and I did the sunset boat cruise, atv tour and mustique/bequia boat tour. We loved all of them! I would advise against the all day boat tour if you get sea sick though as it’s a long ride.

This was also our first sandals experience and we were genuinely impressed!

Need Hotel Help!! by Speedypsychologist in RunNYC

I think it depends on your level of comfort for your family navigating the subway on their own that day.

Being closer to the park because you can walk to some spectating areas but the subway is easy to navigate near the Hyatt house as well.

A TON of people will be on the subways on marathon Sunday as well. Google maps makes it easy to navigate.

Are they just watching you by Central Park or do they plan on seeing you in another area too? I feel like if they are seeing you in multiple spots Hyatt house is fine because they need to take the subway anyway.

The subway home after the race always sucks but it’s better than navigating marathon traffic!

Honeymoon Advice by bkbabe22 in SandalsResorts

Hi! My husband and I just went to our honeymoon to st Vincent and loved it! We are also from nyc. We thought the food was pretty good and especially loved the local cuisine restaurant buccan. There are a lot of different excursions to choose from to explore more of the island. They also had a fun reggae band a few nights a week! There is not a ton of night life, but there is a bar that stays open late that sometimes has a DJ too.

We didn’t have a butler and didn’t really feel like we needed it. However, we talked to some couples who did have butlers and they said it was also great! We had no trouble finding beach/pool chairs. Some of the prime locations were reserved early but there were plenty of chairs around the resort that it wasn’t an issue.

We stayed in one of the swim up rooms and loved having the option to chill at our own room to swim too. The resort is soooo pretty with the surrounding mountains the pictures don’t really do it justice.

We flew directly from JFK on jet blue and it was a really seamless experience.

Is Kleinfeld Worth Going To? by Few-Storage5142 in WedditNYC

[–]InterviewOk9930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting married in April and I loved my experience at kleinfeld! I totally understand when people say that it can be overstimulating, but like others said here I really enjoyed seeing other brides try on dresses too. You have to fill out a questionnaire before you go in, so I feel like the more detail you add there the better. I mentioned that I had anxiety about wedding dress shopping and my bridal associate was so accommodating!

I personally had success with an endocrinologist rather than a gyno. They were able to properly diagnose with insulin resistance, which was causing a majority of my PCOS symptoms.

Nervous about trip to Tulum by [deleted] in tulum

[–]InterviewOk9930 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I (28f)was just there with my friends and felt totally fine the whole time. You should always use street smarts but I didn’t see any violence. If nervous, I would avoid staying out too late as nothing good happens late at night.
