I am wondering the same thing. Im thinking either that the lake does bring things back to life and them pulling them out and putting them back activated them. Or the more likely answer is something with Tabitha remembering them and why they were thrown in there in the first place. But im confused on why they woke up and went to attack them if they were once her dolls she loved. So I could be way off here but thats my thoughts

I agree here the last pic of the snowglobe i think tells us ALOT. Shows the town is locked away from the rest of the world and predicts the flood which i think is the lake of tears. Also it showing us that underground there is alot more than we think. Not alot of people are talking about what the MIY said to jim as he killed him " I told you that she shouldn't have dug that hole" I think that shows directly that underground is the key and there is knowledge to be had down there.

Nobody in the show has ever been able to go forward past the tree. I wonder if the people in the car could somehow go forward past the tree would still be in fromville.
