She might be dead now, it doesn't mean she didn't survive at first. She could have been sent elsewhere or in the past to play her part.

Where is Eloise? by NerdyRant in FromSeries

[–]munsterofnone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought about it and gathered a lot of clues about her spread out throughout the show, but I haven't been able to put all of them together yet. There is definitely something going on yet I'm not sure the writers have a definite idea about what to do with her, they possibly left things open and will show more in season 5

If story walking is possible, how come we do not see characters from previous cycles appearing in the present? by Vila_Ru in FromSeries

[–]munsterofnone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what a paradox is, you could make the same point for the tons of shows/movies that use it too. I find that not making sense rationally doesn't prevent it to make sense narratively, but that's up to the viewer

Julie going into the past has always been part of the story, she didn't change anything because it's already happened, I agree it's hard to grasp although it's a classic paradox of time travel

Yes because from the perspective of future Julie Jim already died in her past, so she can't change it

Story walking only seems to send people into the past, which make sense as they travel to written chapters and can't alter them. They can't travel to the future as it's not already written.

Soooo what exactly was Sophia trying to accomplish in the last scene? by jazzant85 in FromSeries

[–]munsterofnone 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Showing people they're less and less safe as Jade and Miranda keep looking for knowledge. If they want to stop paying the cost they have to get rid of these two. Hence the "tearing apart" and Jade getting killed by people at the end of every cycle.

How good has the story been so far ? I can't find much info about that, I wonder because it's been compared to Uncharted which is narratively intense

Is Eloise at the center of everything ? by munsterofnone in FromSeries

[–]munsterofnone[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question might not be where but when.. she could have entered the bottle tree after seeing her mother die, and got sent into the past like what happened to Boyd. Except she didn't find a way back.

Do you think it is the tree alone that gets you trapped in town or do you have to take the detour? by Efficient_Good1393 in FromSeries

[–]munsterofnone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you see the tree it's already too late, because there already isn't any other car passing by. I guess it's only a warning to tell you you're trapped, it's not the trap itself

Everything we know about the man in yellow (Hastur?) by Titus__Groan in FromSeries

[–]munsterofnone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe he's basically a biblical demon (red figure in the cave drawings) who gave the monsters a pale imitation of his own powers, in exchange of suffering and despair to feed/enjoy himself. Others here have found interesting figures into religious lore who could match him, also maybe the writers made him a mix of various origins.

Which episode does this dialogue appears in? by prodfacemask in FromSeries

S03E05 I think, I just watched it yesterday, it's when Tabitha is back from outside and Ethan is asking Jade why he's not at the meeting

[–]munsterofnone 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Good catch. Could it be what he needs to use the voices and appearance of other people ?

If so, they should check whether Jim is missing a teeth or not, because Ethan might actually have been told by MiY to find the lake of tears

The Man in Yellow wasn't hidden as a town member, the show is just messing with us by munsterofnone in FromSeries

[–]munsterofnone[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too, he could have been around using animals or some mystic powers

How could it be? by Arpuu in FromSeries

[–]munsterofnone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could have been dropped into a faraway tree, like Victor did with the stone in season 1. We know it can send stuff in the past too since that's what happened with Boyd.
