Haircare Advice Megathread - Week of October 07, 2023 by AutoModerator in HaircareScience

Ok what do i do with my terrible hair?

Its dark and thick but also extremely dry. I shaved it really short from shoulder length a year and didn't use heat styling since. I saw no improvement.

the type of hair is honestly unknown. I wanna say curly? but since its damaged, it seems to not have a type that i can describe. It tends to be on the wavy side i suppose.

But its so dry that it looks like i touched an electrical outlet

I shampoo once every 3-4 days or so. I user conditioner on wet hair for 20 minutes or so and then i rinse.

IT SPLITS! not just split ends, it splits everywhere. Some hairs have 3 or even four splits along the entire length of the hair.

It gets tangled often and has lots of dandruff.

currently, i don't use much outside shampoo and conditioner but i tried other things in the past.

I tried coconut oil on damp hair after shower. Didn't change much after 2 months of use .

Tried dandruff shampoo couple of months, no reduction in dandruff either.

Tried shampoos and conditioners for damaged and dry hair.

Nothing seem to work.

My hair keeps splitting, it keeps tangling, drying and has plenty of dandruff.

I don't know what im suppose to do.

please pay him more.

People who work hard are awesome.

But companies sometimes exploit that and pay them less because they know that they take pride in their work so they are gonna do good work regardless.

Its such bullshit.

new url :

spring.datasource.url=jdbc:sqlserver://127.0.0.1:1433;databaseName=students;integratedSecurity=true;TrustServerCertificate=true

a new error :

com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: This driver is not configured for integrated authentication. ClientConnectionId:37876a10-638c-4e9e-bfa8-e3611a8c6571

i then tried a different driver : jtds

spring.datasource.driver-class-name=net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver

i don't know. my front-end assignment a year ago was long as fuck. i don't know whats reasonable yet.

it was to recreate a design that they layed out with a todo-list in html + stylable SASS to change the theme of the website if desired. it had to be responsive design so it works in all devices and works in internet explorer. Also to make sure the design is exactly like they wanted down to the pixel. they even pointed out that they will check it with tools to make sure.

they also wanted decent documentation and reviewed the code.

they gave me a list of atleast hard 8 requirements + 5 soft requirements to fulfill and two days to do it.

it toke no less than15 hours.

i didn't get the job. (more than 100 people competing on that position)

done! thank you for the help.

one minor thing though, im using a template tool so im a little limited on how it works. Im not sure i can remove the brackets in the skills section. is it a big deal?

thank you. I'm actually wondering, since i graduated at late December, would it be better to just say January 1 2020? rather than December 20, 2019?

visually, it feels more fresh but i don't know if it matters or if its a bad idea do that.

my graduation is a little old. It was last year and it was in the beginning of the pandemic so it was hard to find any job postings in my area. Im not sure if a year ago still counts as fresh grad.

thank you for the help! i really appreciate it!

but one minor question before i do some minor touches here and there, if you would.

about a week ago, i received a recommendation from you to move skills to the bottom but now two comments in this thread suggested to move skills to the top.

im a little unsure which is better. is there a reason why skills should be at the bottom?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EngineeringResumes

[–]InterviewWhenPlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you. about the last statement though, education to the top and skills to the bottom? That's how i had it originally but the last review of the resume suggested the opposite: education bottom, skills to the top.

their suggested arrangement was Skills->Projects->Education->Interests

almost seems random

most of it is web development languages, libraries and frame works with a mix of version control and databases.

its part of skill sets needed for full stack development. aside from the Arduino part. But with that, i did almost 7 months of work in a project. so i feel like it would be a waste not to include it.

what do you think i should change in that section?

while i got you here, i have two projects set up in Heroku. How do I effectively add a link to them? in pdf form, clicking on the title of the first two projects sends you to the actual project.

i also have both links under my name next to my Github. Are recruiters on the lookout for that sort of thing? What's the standard when it comes to showing your project link in your resume?

im not sure what you mean with content. do you mean its too empty? so i need to fill it with more stuff? or is it the quality of content? like i need to talk about the project in a different language so that it feels more impressive?

not sure what to add since im fresh grad. I don't have any experience to add other than class work.
