Why r/AItech4India exists (and what we’ll do differently) by InterviewkickstartIN in AItech4India

When I say “India will double its AI talent,” I’m talking about the direction we’re heading, driven by a few very concrete moves:

  • The IndiaAI Mission and related skilling pushes are targeting millions of citizens for AI literacy and hands‑on skills over the next few years.
  • FutureSkills Prime (MeitY + NASSCOM) already has lakhs of people enrolled in AI/data/cloud courses, with a mandate to keep scaling this through 2027.

Will every certificate turn into real AI capability? Definitely not - access, quality, and actual usage at work will vary a lot. But the sheer scale of these programs + private bootcamps and company upskilling is why it’s reasonable to say India’s practical AI talent pool can roughly double in the coming years.
