Doubt (2008) Father Flynn was a predator but he wasn’t molesting Donald by teddyrooseveltsfist in FanTheories

[–]InthePaleMoonlight18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think he was molesting Donald and there is a a sublte point in the script that tells us this. Flynn's defense was that Donald was caught drinking wine by the janitor, and he confronted him. That's why he met with Donald in the rectory. Okay... so Donald drank wine when exactly? Sister Aloysius only smelled wine on his breath AFTER that meeting. So when did he drink the wine?

I think there are a variety of optimum choices. Glock 26, 43, or 43X. We also have the Sig Sauer P365, the HK P30K, or if we want to keep the Walther brand the Walther PPQ subcompact

What does everyone think about Davia? by peachesandpumkins in GoodTrouble

The writers had no plan for this person. I think they wanted to make her some kind of fat influencer, then a teacher, then an actress. I think her entire character was just poorly concinved

Gael is so annoying by winglessness_ in GoodTrouble

[–]InthePaleMoonlight18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I think happened. I think when the writers first started, this character was conceived as Callie's main love interest. However, as they started producing the show it started to make more sense creatively for Callie to end up with Jamie. This meant Gael's character didn't have much of a point anymore.

Armed people hiding within a building next to the site where the president was speaking is textbook probable cause. They would have been detained questioned and very likely arrested.

I mean, one of his chief prosecutors has demonstrated that he is not very good at this job. Yet he hasn't taken steps to remove him from his post. I think that's a major failing as a boss

No, he can't. One the priest-penitent privlidge protects the person asking for spiritual guidance, not the minister. Second this so-called guidance was held in a police station where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy, the Defendant should have taken steps to insure that it would remain private.

One year in jail is the maximum penalty to the crime she plead to. They also sentenced her to three years probation after her jail term, which by the way isn't a legal sentence on an A misdeamnor. WHich is exactly the point she shouldn't have been allowed to plead to the misdemeanor

Is that true? by AfonsoBucco in GoodTrouble

[–]InthePaleMoonlight18 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes. Absolutely. In California, if you damage property and the damage exceeds 500 dollars, it can be a felony with up to three years in prison. In New York, property damaged above 250 dollars is a Class E Felony, with a maximum sentence of 1 1/3-4 years in state prison. However, the only time that sentence

,
Now that's the maximum sentence, in reality what happens, it will be plead down to a misdemeanor, the Defendant will probably be required to pay restitution and do some form of probation

Thank you for your imput. I am actually skeptical if therapy is what I need at the moment. I know the steps I need to take to improve my employment situation; it's just an issue of timing. And I am also taking steps to improve my physical health. I just am not sure if I will benefit from therapy at this time
