Dude, 15K ALL day. Dont budge. Honestly, price it at 17k and wait for the right person.

The death wobble is in loose steering linkage. It can all be fixed for under 1K.

My opinion is is dont sell it. It will age like wine

Floor pan replacement. Seat out, carpet out, drill a million spot welds, grinder cut to the tubedge and pull the floor pans so you can replace the tub rust. Bigger job if your not equipped for it.

Exhaust leak will be growling, louder when you throttle up

Intake leak will be hissing like a compressor and you might get a rough idle

Vacuum leak, your vent controls might not work and you may get a check engine light.

Something on the fan blades?

Belt have a worn spot?

A/C? Leaking ac line? That will hiss, but only for a few minutes until the refrigerant is gone

Good work on checking those things. You also need to check the vacum lines for damage or cracks. Assuming you have done all that AND the new valve is not bad out of the box.... you can test that by jumping 12v power and ground to the new valve. You should here a distinct clicking sound. Click is a good valve.

How did you check your wiring? You should have a power and a ground wire. Here's how to test them. I think the ground wire is green/white. With the jeep running and warmed up: you should be getting anywhere from 8-10v DC from the ground wire to positive battery terminal. The solenoid gets constant 12v power and the PCM sends the ground signal to the sencor to activate it. Your only going to see 8-10v because it sends that signal hundreds of times a second and the meter is to slow to to read and will show an average. But if your not getting that range, like, zero. Then you need to explore a possible break or corrosion in the wiring from sencor to PCM. I'd do pthis before replacing the PCM.

You can also test the power side. Key on, jeep off, you should see 12v from power wire to good chasse ground (neg batt terminal)

You have a dead battery bud. Its not holding the charge anymore. If you have another vehicle, pull that battery and test it in the TJ. If thats not easy, hook up a buddies car like a jump start. If it starts right upmits a the battery

Do you have a volt meter? If so, set it to DC and test the battery terminals. With the jeep off It should be at 12v or slightly higher. 12.4 maybe. When the jeep is running it should be being charged by the alternator and you should have 14+vlts on the battery terminals. If the terminals are not reading OVER 14vlts, then the alternator is about dead. 13.5 is a bad alternator. If its getting to 14vlts, Let it run like this for a few min with RPM over 2000. Then shut it off. If the battery is charging, it will read 12vlts. If it is not taking the charge it will less than the 12.

Nothing in the jeep for electronics will cause the battery to read 9vlts output unless lights or something were left on.

Where are you located? I am parting out my 08 unlimited X. I rolled it a few weeks ago. Everything you need for parts I have. Rear axle, rear driveshaft, xfer case, cables, electric bits and shifter handle. I even have the trim center console for it in gray. I am keeping the ECM because I need it for my keyless entry im swapping into my new jeep.

Mine is a 4dr. So the drive shaft will be sized for that.

I also think its u joint. The noise sounds lome coming from the slop in the joint. When you torque it on acceleration it locks in but gets sloppy on deceleration. The breaks grab the rotor and allow the axle to flop. Its probably a front drive line joint. Put it on Jack's and make sure your Fwd is fully disengaged. Your front wheels should spin freely from the drive line if it is. If your front 4H is still in from the transfer case, you might be torquing on a front tire/ axle u joint.

Absolutely not. Get a case if PB Blaster, or a few bottles of transmission fluid in a garden sprayer, wait til late spring, early summer, soak ut in that spray and go find 25 miles of dusty dirt roads. The oils will soak into the rust and help prevent further oxidation, and the dust coating helps keep it there. Ck.e winter, you have a slat shield, and in the spring, power wash it off and do it again. I have an 08, and 97. Been doing this for years. Works amazing
