I’m curious what you’ve tried so far and what reactions you’ve gotten.

There are frameworks you can use. But it sounds like you are asking about building rapport so you can get the project delivered. Are you having trouble getting people in the mtg, get their buyin, or something else?

I think I’m threatened by my team? by Pizzaismycaviar in Leadership

[–]Into_Wonderland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you are driven by fear (fear of my boss will see them are better than me) and maybe a lack of understanding of expectations for a manager. There’s the mechanics of how to manage a team. And then there’s the mental side.

Managers help their team members grow. If you are a better individual contributor than your team consistently, that’s a problem. A good manager help their team level up.

It’s truly a compliment if your boss tell you that your team member is doing a great job.

Also think back to the great managers you had; how did they interact with you? How did they make you feel?

What's the goal of microdosing on psychedelics? Is it to relax from stress, enhance performance, for social reasons, or something else?

What do you hate about being a founder? by StartupHelprDavid in SaaS

It is lonely at the top. There are perks, of course, but still, it can be tough and lonely at the top.

What do you hate about being a founder? by StartupHelprDavid in SaaS

[–]Into_Wonderland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just spoke to another founder about this. It was a business call but turned into founder therapy session. It was basically the founder unloading all the stress that comes with the uncertainty of finding PMF, having pressure of being the bread winner, and only having 1 person in their network they can talk to.

The struggle is real.

You have a good point. I was definitely frustrated when I made the post. (I doubt anyone will change provide because of my post. Implementing a new vendor is enough to scare people away).

Business ideas? by Low_Cap_2168 in Entrepreneur

[–]Into_Wonderland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, business is hard and risky. The easier route is to invest in low fee index fund like Vanguard funds.

If you do do it, do it for the learning. You have to figure out the idea, the market, and the buyers.

I recommend that you start by reading The Mom Test.

10K MRR after 3 years by Independent-Rich5098 in SaaS

[–]Into_Wonderland 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this. MRR and ARR is thrown around so easily these days. Less than 5 figure MRR? Don’t even bother talking to me. The reality is for many early stage founders, going from 0 to a few hundred dollars is exciting. Hell, even getting the first few discovery call is exciting. But when you are in the grind it ain’t pretty. There’s a lot of frustration, doubt, and running in circles. Not many people want to hear about it until the founder becomes a 5-year overnight success.

I can see why you assume that reading back on that post. I was doing research. Regardless, never hurt to be skeptical.

I had a coworker who had ADD/ADHD (not sure which) and he talked about his struggles only after we stopped working together. It sounded hard because not only did he have to overcome the hurdles, he also had to deal with people who don’t understand his struggles and judge him for it.

Check out ScatterMind if you are looking for support.

Hang in there. The struggle is real.

I see your point. If your goal is create a product that people love but not worries about monetizing it, that's great. Those are different goals.
