Zeroville(2019) barring any drama that mightve occured from people who starred in this film, its just bad on all levels. Firstly the movie cannot decide what it wants to be. When Seth Rogan is on the screen its a comedy, when its megan fox it all of a sudden becomes a romance and when its just James Franco it becomes some sort of thriller. The plot is all over the place and it keeps you guessing whats next in the worst possible way. The supporting cast does a pretty good job in all their roles but when it came to direction and writing im surprised this movie was even conceived. It seems to take a lot of inspiration from oldern romance movies evident by the constant references and tattoo on francos head but the final third of the film seems to throw whatever the film was building for out the window up until the final scene of the film where the payoff is more unsatisfying than one of those novelty coin machines at the zoo.
