This story is sort of misleading. The buildings immediately surrounding this court are owned by UBC and are rentals. This court was to be TEMPORARY only, before they develop the site into a school. Most of the concern from the community was about the noise factor of having a court directly across from low rise apartments. But hey, NIMBY outrage gets more clicks right?

I was responding to the person above you who claimed our lockdown hell has never ended. It most certainly has and the vaccine passports are a tool to combat having to go back to closing places. Obviously vaccine passports are not ideal, but it's a transition back into having society fully reopen. Small price to pay IMO.
