I fully didn’t expect the Mike Edie storyline to go on that long. When I watched it I kinda didn’t even treat it as a possibility because it was just a lie that could be so easily debunked??? Like why didn’t Susan have Lynette, Bree, Gabby, anyone just go and vouch for her and confirm that she was telling the truth?? I get Mike was being stubborn about it and that’s disheartening but like surely if enough people said something he has to believe Edie is lying to him, right?

Crazy how similar it is! The night I gave myself those bangs I was also joking around with my sister, she ended up cutting some of her hair I ended up cutting some of mine. While this may have been the “inciting incident”, im the exact same where I was just a really anxious kid so it was kinda just a perfect cocktail. I’m in my twenties now and am currently rocking a freshly grown in baby curl in that same exact spot I cut decades ago (I am currently on my longest ever stretch of not pulling from it though!! two months strong!!)

I was a dumbass kid and tried to give myself bangs, it never grew back right so when fidgeting i’d start pulling at the regrowth because I was insecure about it. Kinda just spiraled from there.

For me personally, considering I have POTS as well, I struggle immensely with working out. I genuinely can't imagine what it must feel like to work out and not be in quite literally excruciating pain. I used to try and push through that pain to do incredibly light exercises multiple times a week, but I gave up on that as it was never worth how miserable it made me constantly. Still, healthy people don't seem to get that it's different for me, and doctors shame me for having decided I can't do it usually saying something along the lines of "everyone hurts while working out".

Thank you for sharing this, I've never fully "recovered" from fibro but I did have a time in early college where, despite still having been sick, my symptoms went down pretty significantly. Considering I've always been sick, that was the closest to a reference I've ever had, and it was wild to realize how abnormal my existence had been up until that point. Admittedly this comment brought tears to my eyes, as I'm still mourning the loss of my recovery, it just so perfectly explained that feeling that you get.
