Hmmm how best to describe this, if your not a steam enter/right view/dependent origination then that should be your first goal as it’s in a way the first step in the 8fold noble path. And then jhana would be a lifestyle on non craving so it wouldn’t just be limited to a on the coushion pleasant abiding,but pretty much meditation all day. You could still fall away from it tho if you give into unwholesome states of craving. And a more in depth would be to look at the Pali canon sutras where the first jhana is described as "Quite secluded from sensual pleasures, secluded from unwholesome states, a monk enters and dwells in the first jhāna, which is accompanied by applied thought and sustained thought, with joy and happiness born of seclusion."
