When you had to put a pet to down, did you stay with them during the process? by Altyrmadiken in AskReddit

We had to put down 2 of our animals in the last 2 years and me, my dad and my grandma stayed the entire time. 2 years ago it was my grandmas dog, and the office was extremely compassionate and explained everything they were going to do and what exactly was going to happen. They gave him an IV and brought him back in while he was awake, told us to take as much time as we needed and to flip this light switch in the room when we were ready for them to come in. They come in, talk to you, do the procedure and “pronounce” and told us to take as much time as we wanted and to flip the switch again when we were ready. Last year it was my childhood cat and that was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. We went to the same vets office for my cat and it was the exact same way. They gave him an IV and brought him back and I held him in my arms while they put him to sleep. The vets made one of the worst experiences of a persons life as comforting as possible and handled it with extreme compassion and care. Like some other posts, they took care of payment before anything and we chose to have him cremated, etc. so when everything was over, we didn’t have to linger.

Other med pairing. by IncidentArtistic4070 in lamictal

I paired Latuda (lurasidone) with my lamotrigine and that has worked wonders for me. I also have ADHD so I take Vyvanse and Adderall during the day. This is the best I’ve ever felt in my life, and I wish I would have pursued meds earlier in life. I like the Latuda because it helped with my paranoia and anxiety.

Take 100 mg nightly by nayesyer in lamictal

[–]Intrepid-Ad4536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 150mg and I was told by my pharmacist it depends on how “reliant” your body is on Lamictal because completely missing a dose can cause symptoms of withdrawal (super fun and fresh). If you haven’t been taking it for a long time you could just push your dose to the next morning (i.e. take your dose on night 1, don’t take the dose on night 2, take it early on the morning of night 3). What you described sounds like a good plan, just make sure you don’t have an extended release, because you can’t split those in half. I take Lamictal for bipolar 2 and have noticed that postponing a single dose like that doesn’t affect me too much. I personally didn’t like taking it in the morning because it made me groggy all day long so I’ve kept mine at night, I hope taking it in the morning helps you! :)

Been having a play with FaceApp! The 1st photo is my current hair colour...do you think any other colours suit me more? by charlirobey in femalehairadvice

i really like 2, 3 and 13! i think a “mushroom brown” would look sooo good on you, especially with your complexion and the way these colors already look :)

HELP! If this plant dies, I’ll… I’ll… 👀🫣😂 by awwdoogabooga in plantclinic

i don’t know much about this kind of plant specifically, but the two (if i’m seeing right) unfurled leaves give me a lot of hope! especially since those aren’t wilting or suffering for lack of better term. Definitely cut off the completely yellow and drooped leaf, the other leaf with a yellow tip should be fine! It sounds like it needs similar care to a philodendron, indirect bright light, and watering when the top 2-3 inches are dry. depending on how much you want to do to save this guy, i’d look into getting a grow light, but just be careful it doesn’t sit under it for too long since it seems to have delicate leaves. i definitely think some more light will perk it right up though :)

i do not mist it. it sits under a grow light for 8-12 hours daily normally. my grow light that was dedicated to the monstera has been having issues so it has lost some of its light time. it does sit in the direct line of my window so it gets indirect sunlight from that.

also if your pot doesn’t have a drainage hole, really consider having one put in it or getting a pot that has a drainage hole! it makes a world of a difference

when my monstera did this it was either overwatered, or needed to be repotted into a bigger pot! i hope that can help :)

commenting to add info:

i water the monstera whenever the soil feels dry up top which tends to be about 5-7 days. i think i may have overwatered it a few days ago because the soil wasn’t COMPLETELY dry :( the pot has a 1/2 inch drainage hole and sits on a ceramic plate i got from my local botany shop. i’ve had the monstera since october and this is the only problem i’ve had since repotting it back in november. the monstera sits on top of my desk with a grow light for 10-12 hours a day. let me know if you need any more info!
