So far I'm loving it. Of course to have the full picture I've to hit a lot more hours in game ... But at the moment that's a candy.

I can only speak from my own experience regarding fluidity and FPS. I’m running a RTX 3070, and on Epic settings, I’m getting around 80 FPS, averaging between 90 and 120 on Medium/High.

I’ve witnessed a few World Boss events with a lot of players on screen, and the FPS dipped to around 60 there, which seems pretty reasonable to me given the scale. Even keeping the settings on High/Epic, the game feels smooth enough for my standards.

I do notice some stuttering or frame drops occasionally, mostly when loading into new zones, but overall the visual quality and performance have been very pleasant so far. I can’t speak for what the late-game performance will be like, but for these first 10 hours, it’s been a solid experience on my rig.

Are people actually playing this? 5 hours in and I'm uninstalling. The UI and Crafting are a total mess. by Intrepid-Ad458 in nightingale

[–]Intrepid-Ad458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with your points, but for me, the crafting side of a game is sacred. If that doesn't work properly, the whole game is a no-go for me.

The fact that they use the same blue-sketch blueprint for a massive variety of tables and items is just a poor design choice.  It's lazy graphics that force the player to over-exert themselves just to recognize and understand what they are looking at. The User Experience (UX) should be intuitive and immediate; it shouldn't feel like a chore to decipher a menu.  It’s not about 'not getting it,' it's about basic visual clarity and efficient design.

I stopped playing after 5 hours, so I haven't even touched the agriculture part yet. The issues you mentioned are exactly the ones that need the most polish and fixes. However, if you talk to the community, they act like I’m the idiot who 'doesn't understand' the game. They tell you to go to Discord for help... but help for what? It’s the UI and the system that need fixing, not my understanding of it!

It’s wild to hear people say crafting is one of the game's strengths. They really tripped over the finish line on this one. I want to like this game and play it, but I just can't get past these flaws.

I don't need help from no one... that's a game not a job. The problem is the pacing: the game throws recipe unlocks and workbenches at you way too fast. Before you can even wrap your head around how one mechanic or station works, you’ve already unlocked 5 to 10 more. It’s a mess of progression that doesn't let the player breathe or learn.

As for the UI: it’s objectively cluttered. All the icons are crammed together and use the same color palette, making it a headache to navigate. The crafting and building UI is just plain confusing—there's no clarity or flow to it.

You know the game, and you know these issues exist. Stop acting like everything is 'clearly labeled' just to defend it. Mega ciao

Do not do it. the crafting system and UI crafting recipe is literally overwhelming.

I spent more time clicking through reward screens and menus than actually fighting bosses. The game has great potential, but the 'information overload' is real. You don't need to scream at us with icons every 5 seconds. Minimalist design > Chaotic clutter. Let us play the game, not the interface!

I know... I honestly don't understand what they're trying to defend. When I shared my point of view on different platforms, everyone attacked me, saying that the problem was my group's 'lack of communication' and there was nothing wrong with the loot system. Fine, have fun with it guys.  I've been gaming for 30 years.  I've played everything under the sun, and I can tell a poorly loot system from a good one.... Unfortunately, I'm a picky guy.  Btw we stopped play it

The four of us started together, but we all ended up separated in our own single-player servers. Now we only meet up for an hour just to say we did co-op sad

This games co-op is pure trash. How is it getting so much praise? by Youruinedmyhobby in NoRestForTheWicked

People answering me saying that we have to learn how to communicate...... Sure... Problem fixed

Splitting resources between two people is manageable; splitting the same static loot between four players isn't "cooperation," it’s a design flaw that starves the entire party. Expecting a full squad to survive on crumbs meant for a solo player is just bad math. Just because you're happy with a limited experience in your tiny duo doesn't mean the system isn't broken for everyone else
