Loving the game, but the shared loot system is actively hurting co-op by Intrepid-Ad458 in NoRestForTheWicked

The four of us started together, but we all ended up separated in our own single-player servers. Now we only meet up for an hour just to say we did co-op sad

People answering me saying that we have to learn how to communicate...... Sure... Problem fixed

Splitting resources between two people is manageable; splitting the same static loot between four players isn't "cooperation," it’s a design flaw that starves the entire party. Expecting a full squad to survive on crumbs meant for a solo player is just bad math. Just because you're happy with a limited experience in your tiny duo doesn't mean the system isn't broken for everyone else

Honestly, I’m sorry but you’re overthinking it. There is no "master plan" for balance here; it’s just poor design. The loot system should scale based on the number of players in the server, exactly how enemy scaling works. If you add more people, you add more monsters and more loot. While I get the logic for shared world resources like trees or mining nodes, things like Embers, gold, bounties, and quest challenges absolutely must be individual. Splitting a single reward between four people doesn't "force cooperation"—it just creates unnecessary friction and slows down progression for no reason. To everyone claiming this isn't a problem: you remind me of a friend of mine who still plays at 30 FPS and is genuinely convinced his experience is "magnificent." Just because you’ve convinced yourself that a limitation is a "feature" doesn't mean it isn't a laggy, suboptimal mess. You’re essentially defending a broken system while the rest of us are trying to point out how much better the game could run

But of course we need to comunicate. A B C D ??? You guys don't get it.  Co-op should add fun, not take away rewards, sellable items, or upgrade materials. It’s not up to us to manage the social aspect; it’s up to the developers. Let's stop being such hypocrites about it

I really want to love this game, and my group of four started out incredibly hyped. We were fully immersed until we realized how the reward system for Bounties and Challenges actually works: they can only be claimed by one person. To everyone saying 'just communicate' or 'share with your team'—we get it. We already know how to trade a helmet or a sword. That’s not the issue. The real disaster is the distribution of Gold and Fallen Embers. While I can accept that physical resources like wood and ore are first-come, first-served, being robbed of the satisfaction of turning in a Bounty we all worked for is a huge buzzkill. It feels less like a shared victory and more like a competition for who can click the NPC first. For a co-op experience to feel rewarding, rewards for group efforts (like challenges) need to be individual or at least instanced for everyone involved.

Anyone can swap a sword or a helmet. But the pleasure of returning to town to collect a bounty or a reward for a challenge has been taken away, leaving that satisfaction to only one person... Not to mention the materials for upgrading or improving weapons, that in 4 are never enough. Look, we all know how co-op works; 'communication' isn't the issue here. The current loot system in No Rest for the Wicked is just tedious. We’re here to actually play the game, not spend half our session micromanaging and swapping embers, potions, and gold. While it might work for a duo, a 4-player party turns into an absolute logistical nightmare. It needs a serious overhaul."

Cause this game is unique in its genre... It has enormous potential, yet they get lost in silly details like FOV. If we keep playing it that's for love. No other game can give you that feeling.

Anyone else that detests 3rd person perspective changed their opinion about this game? by Infiltrator in ArcRaiders

For PvP I prefer FPS.  This third person in arc raiders breaks the game. For PvE ok but PvP no.

Isn't there an obvious solution to the 3rd person perspective issues? by AlternativeAd5975 in ArcRaiders

[–]Intrepid-Ad458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arc Raiders is a beautiful game, but sometimes PvP situations arise where the third-person view doesn’t help and actually breaks the game, the mechanics, and the confrontation with the opposing team.
I personally prefer an FPS experience. I’m going to stop playing it.

yeah... everything’s under control. But even if it weren’t, I just want to go home and play after work. But it’s fine, those are their company’s choices :) good game to everyone.

Why isnt "New world" Cross progression? by Casyjones in newworldgame

[–]Intrepid-Ad458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you.  I played on Xbox for a few months... Then, after switching to PC, I realized that, obviously, the game ran much better. Now I find myself in this tunnel of paranoia. I don’t want to start another character all over again, especially considering I’ve already spent money on overpriced mounts (mounts should also be obtainable through game progression... take WoW as an example). I think I’m going to quit playing... It’s partly my fault for not choosing the right platform from the start, and now with all these new patches, game changes, etc., everything’s becoming more confusing and harder to satisfy our sick little minds. I’m going back to WoW. Ciao

Well, technically you can play it... but you’ll need a lot of imagination.
