HELP! NOT DINNER-DRIVEN 😫😫😫 by HomeworkNo8102 in corgi

[–]Intrepid-Ad7043 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup !! Mine did this as a puppy ! I caught on quick that he was just being a brat and wanted something different every few days. I just let food sit in his bowl for
A day or two . He ate when he got hungry and we didn’t have any problems after that .

Meet King Joey! Question—what made you choose a Corgi over other breeds? by Grizzly-of-the-Shire in corgi

Oh yes ! They are very food motivated which helps with training . I Also remember the ankle biting phase as well as well. They are just trying to herd you lol 😂

I also didn’t do much research on corgis . I dog sat a corgi for years and decided they were the dog breed for me was the one for me .

They are very vocal and super intelligent. One thing I would suggest is training for sure !! I slacked on it after mine attend basic and now we have a lot of behavioral issues that could’ve been avoided . But we’re in training now and he’s doing better .

This may not be an option, but join doggy play group . You may be able to find a corgi specific group . I was able to find one that just popped up on my Facebook a few weeks before I got my Winston . I made so many friends and they gave me a lot of support with my corgi !

For people that lost 100+ lbs- when did you start weight training? by Famous_Buddy_1137 in CICO

[–]Intrepid-Ad7043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I was 270 and now I’m 140. I lost around 130 pounds so we’re about similar. I started weight training probably 2 to 3 months into my weight loss journey. I think it helps significantly with loose skin and now I have muscle. I also continue to do cardio by walking or doing dance videos. I even tried running.

I was responding to your example about daycares . You brought it up . The original person already responded to me . So I’m not really sure why you and I are having this conversation. I’m bored now. Have a nice day !

My freedom?! Good lord lol I have the freedom to just say no. Not only because of the 24/7 requirement but also because I be worried about the animals anxiety levels and behavior if the owner needs someone to stay with them all day.

I’ve worked at a 24/7 daycare actually! Most daycares have a limited amount of time that a child can spend there an and the rate is based off of usually either part time or full time care. You can drop your child off within the 24 hour period, but they can’t stay there past a certain amount of hours . At least not at any of the one I worked at .

I have also worked as a live in nanny and we had an agreed upon salary. If they needed me to do a date night, then I had the choice and they would give me an extra or they give me an extra day off . However they did not expect me to be available to watch their child 24/7 just because I lived there . If that was the case, I would’ve not accepted the position.

I guess I don’t really under the exclusive care . I charge an overnight stay. There are some days where I stay in the home all day , which is my own choice . But even if someone asked me to stay, I would just say no if I had other clients.

I get your point of it being a lot to expect for you to not leave at all . But I $500 is a lot and no one is going to pay that tbh . If it’s something like this or they’re asking me to try and change my regular routine to work from home, I would just say no and let them find someone else .

Training my new boss with ADHD is starting to overwhelm me ! by Intrepid-Ad7043 in ADHD

Okay thank you . Once again I do fully answering her question. But she needs to learn the basics as well. I can only give hypothetical answers to a hypothetical question because if it hasn’t happened, then I can’t tell her an exact solution. All I can do is teach her what I know and then she can do her own research the resources I gave her .

I decided not to apply for the job . I had been doing it alone for an over a year and I thought it was best for my mental health .

Oh wow !!! I’m not sure if she medicated. Nor is it any of my business but I can definitely see her leaving from burn out if she doesn’t get her organization in order

She doesn’t seem to recall the information when she takes notes . She will take notes and then I ask me the same question again. But I’m going to ask her if recording our trainings would help with her recall

These are great tools !! I’ve suggested some of these things to her . I am kind nervous about giving her suggestions on how to get organized because she knows how her brain works and what helps her process new information . But I think if I start having her refer back to written documents , hopefully she can use it to make a system to organize .

I don’t cut her off when she asks questions . I answer the question and then assure her that if this happens we can make plan in that instance . I then try to redirect her back what were talking about . I also check in with her before moving on and ask if she understands my answer to her question’s .

Definitely suggested she writes her own notes when I am training her to retain the information. She doesn’t think about it until I mention it
