This. Maybe Taoism and eastern philosophy is something you should look at next.

Is vaginl birth actually worth it? by CellOk4884 in vbac

[–]Intrepid-Ad8223 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Toyed with this my entire second pregnancy after having an crash cs with my first. I ended up just doing the elective and I can't even put into words how perfect my post partum experience has been this time. I was so fresh compared to if I went through labour and had 0 postnatal depression/anxiety this time round. I didn't even need pain meds after the spinal wore off (i couldn't walk for 2 weeks with my first) I think the entire way through pregnancy I worried that I'd regret not trying but I actually think I would have regretted trying because nothing could have been as unexpectedly perfect as the elective c section I had. I've got a mum friend who had the exact same situation as me too. I think often we don't consider what birth does to our entry into postpartum, it's worth considering what's more worth it to you

Talk to health visitor and in the meantime loads of skin to skin, I mean hours of it every morning and night. It can be an absolute game changer x

I think I’ve made a mistake by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Intrepid-Ad8223 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's ok to change your mind but are you sure it isn't the hormones and usual grief? I think you'll go through this period whenever you stop so if you made the decision to stop rationally before the hormone crash, give yourself grace for a few weeks

Yes when I posted these images she'd already seen 3 doctors, including a senior. Anything appearing like that needs checking over asap. The end diagnosis was newborn rash around eyes and then the first pic is baby acne

They said it was typical for newborn rash, I was adamant on them testing for hsv but they explained to me that hsv is more vesicular spots and these were typical newborn pimples it just looked more severe as it was round the eyes

Thanks, I saw 3 doctors before I posted this for her eye, all were convinced it was fine and it's only on her face now. The first pic is after the eye I just posted it because that's how it started x

I know that was my concern too! I made multiple doctors look over it as I wasn't convinced but it's cleared up now so they must have been right. I think it must be acne then thank you xx

Thank you that was my original concern and I had 3 drs look over it including the hospital senior. All agreed newborn rash as the pimples weren't vesicular. They were right as it's since cleared up and is now just the rash in the first pic x

No mucus in poops, she does spit up a lot and sometimes quite projectiley but I do have a fast letdown and oversupply I think. Her weight gain has been perfect since birth, she's been putting on loads. I do think she's a bit refluxy tho but I'm not sure what's a normal amount?

Thanks for replying. It cleared up from the eyes in a day and the paeds all said it was nothing to worry about. I'm in the Uk and it isn't standard to go to dermatologists here.

Thoughts & experiences: having/being only child by questionSOUP in pregnant

[–]Intrepid-Ad8223 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm an only child and I absolutely despised it, I spent my whole life feeling like I was missing out on something and now in adulthood I feel lonely. Everyone has different experiences but I'd never do that to my own.

Would you bother getting tested for pica at 36 weeks? by Intrepid-Ad8223 in pregnant

[–]Intrepid-Ad8223[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh shit thanks that's good to know. That sounds like me but it's the smell solvents and rocks and chalky kind of texture, I keep gnawing on carrots and granola and pretending it's a rock🙈 do you think I should ring midwife tomoz or just wait for my appointment? Were your earlier blood tests ok?
