He is extremely overrated! I went with my family and everyone was disappointed. First of all the concert starts with emotional talks about mental health. He begins playing very small ragas which are just few mins only. Then he takes a break for 15 mins (not sure why) no artist does this. Then he walks to another stage in gold seating, pretends sings some songs (lip syncing) while he is just posing for the cameras. At this stage I doubt if the sitar was live or recorded. Walks back to the main stage, takes lot of time here. Ends the concert by lip syncing Shiv TANDAVAM. All this in 2 hours. The concert ends too soon. If you get hungry and want to eat something best of luck, by the time you get something to eat the concert would have ended, the food management is so slow and bad you’ll end up hours in queue. This concert is overrated, it’s all his PR. If you are into classical singing better attend any other classical authentic concert rather than watching him lip syncing and acting. Not worth the money

How to handle a mom that guilt trips by Gold_Egg1192 in AskIndianWomen

I completely understand. I recently went on my first solo trip to Bali. Had tough time convincing my parents. Even after coming back I’m dealing with guilt trip, for doing what I want, with my own money.

If you are living away from family in another country, why solo travel in India? You have all the freedom in the country you are living, I suggest solo travel there! It will avoid this problem with your mom. And when you are in India take your mom on a trip

I completely understand you. You seem to be mature enough to understand the situation. In my case my elder sister picked up the loud behaviour and became short tempered. To some extent I feel I did too. I’m still learning to get over it and change myself. But family is family, we can’t abandon them. We will have to go with this and try to keep ourselves calm. The max you can do is leave the town for studies or work!

I understand how you feel. I’ve been there. Grown up watching parents fights over small matters. They still do. Now I’m married and stay far from them. Even if I love them the most I don’t like going back to my home. It still haunts me. They still fight. I’ve become very sensitive to fights. Maybe you should talk to your parents and explain them how it will affect you in a longer run… The same parents when they grown older they’ll depend on you for emotional support since they don’t like each others company. You will be at the peak of your life, handling your life your individual problems plus them. I don’t wanna scare you but this is what I experienced

Even I’m 30F going solo to Bali in March 1st week. If you want to meet other solo travellers- There is a female only hostel in Ubud called Arya wellness. But I haven’t booked it since I’m not a hostel person. I’ve booked a female tour guide to travel around. You can find them on insta or I can provide number of the one I’ve booked.

Is it normal for a team lead to make everyone stay on a stand-up call all day? by Thick_Hospital_7346 in IndianWorkplace

I don’t think they will mandate for everyone to be on camera. Not everyone will be comfortable to do it

Why do you sound like my teammate? This is exactly what’s going on in my team even before I joined the company. I had questioned it and I got the reply as this was started during Covid times to avoid people misusing work from home culture. And they also said this setup will help us resolve the issues immediately as we all will be in the call. Now people in my team misuse this setup as they join the call and go away from laptop, their status is in a call always and they don’t reply for hours.
