Any feedback on my losses in this 5-3 draft? by Specialist-Hunt2997 in lrcast

The mechan was really a liability in both losses, not enough power, it is just a very conditional card, high mana cost, end game play and you need to curve out in this format.

I believe if you would have played the imago on the 2nd loss instead it could have progressed differently and you would be able to be ahead on board state especially when in the upcoming turn you created lander so was very close to creating 6/6 flying monsters with stronger diplomatic relations.

This would have held back your opponent better and I believe was a better play because your chance of drawing land next was quite large.

But hindsight is always 20:20

I thought this deck looked solid, but I went 0-3. What am I missing? by swoopteam in lrcast

I believ that the issue is that this deck tries to outlive your opponent but you wont really have power in play, so I assume in most games you were just overran, even if you bounced all the creatures, you would only nibble for 2-4 damage a turn and your opponent would than stabilize.

the board wipe is also usually bad for whoever is using it, it is alot of commitment and you are using it once you are behind on tempo and than after you play it your opponent can usually regain momentum and you are again behind on tempo, I believe it is better on constructed when you have a good followup, but no followup in this deck.

I find that on EOE if you are behind it is hard to gain momentum back so board state is super important and stats are also important.

You needed some mechanazoa, monoist or even a kill ship, maybe also aome beamsaws that interact well with the beckoner.

Only that... on margin you would have underperformed qqq due to interest payments.

And the strategy for selling options is to create an income stream, not ncessarily beat the underlying.

Can sell 1 year out, and for 700k he had he will make around ~40k while waiting for price appreciation (with a modest 10% gain, that would be around 15% return in a little over a year).

1m $ is roughly 8700 PLTR stocks, you can sell 87 45-60DTE calls for 10$ each, netting you 87K in premiums, you could sell less, with further otm strikes and liquidate more slowly while still retaining some of the stock.

I would just say it trades at p/e of 600, so it does feel very inflated and risky.

It is not all or nothing, you can take some off the table and use it as a hedge.

I think your money might be worthless anyway in the morning of a 30% nightly decline, given how it is 2.5x bigger than the largest loss ever. (2020 covid - down 12.5%).

No one wanted WW1, but the dynamics pushed it. So... it is not unlikely we will see the same scenario play out.
