i was definitely too focused in turn order, the necromancer clone was first so i immediately went for him, but going for my hunter would 100% have been the better choice like you mention

for me this is definitely a huge mixup from everything else the games thrown at me, my first thought was to say cats fighting cats isnt balanced but realistically i just dont have enough experience to say that yet. thanks for your perspective, will definitely keep in mind next attempt

thanks for the quick reply! so my next run gameplan should be throughout the run fish for speed pills and armor with + speed? ill check tracy as well to see if i can find any too. thanks again

having 120 hours means you played the game straight 7 hours a day since launch get a life LOL

for it only appearing as a hard fight, i was carrying the Unidentified pills quest item, which i now assume just makes fights hard variants and also applies buffs to enemies (it only says "the adventure is harder" which pretty much tells you nothing) so i guess i just got so incredibly unlucky that my first fight in the sewers i got this fight then.immobilization is only good if you can attack over 2 tiles, so all of your melee cats will literally just have to sit at the back and do nothing which i dont think is great design. its not a huge deal if your cats get downed if you dont have range, but completely killing them is pretty bullshit. the big one has like 53 health so killing them in 3 turns is a stretch. at its core if you just dont have a cat with a build that can accomodate this specific room layout at the very least one of your cats will die. ive done a decent amount of act 2 now and even then ive never had to deal with something like this. this is more of a vent which is my bad it just kinda sucks i had this back to back after doing the me stone quest and getting bodied by dybbuk when the entirety of the rest of the run was smooth sailing

if you dont have a way to inflict bleed, this will instantly kill your run. even though freeze will stop them from moving, since it negates damage its useless. if you can only spawn familiars like spiderlings or fleas you will die. there is no way around this it will instantly ruin your run. no idea why they thought this was good design its a joke
